I guess that means Cincy could beat Aston Villa or Norwich. Maybe that European coach they have is that good! Wow!

But I am disappointed to see how mentally weak Konrad De La Fuente is. He stayed at his club when he could've gone and started at another club. Damn, Konrad De La Fluente and Jordan Morris for being mentally weak. Doesn't look good for us with such players that don't go challenge themselves at the highest levels. What is American football going to do?

@Samtom23 Lol Jordan Morris couldn't make Barca B, just give it a rest.
None of your hyping is helping MLS teams/ players gain value. Like I said, advocate for them to play foreign teams if you really want them to be respected.

Also in the new globalfootballrankings.com MLS is the 21st best league in the world.

I was watching the news with Ron Burgundy and he had the sports go Champion'Champ' Kind. According to Champ, MLS is the best league in the world. So I ask myself will I listen to global football rankings or Ron and Champ?

I proceeded to bet.com and put 100 on the Columbus Crew vs Barca. I then sent an e-vite to those pretty boys from Barca challenging them to a match with the Crew. Those PBFB have yet to respond. I guess they saw the same sports show I saw.

Antonee Robinson made another EFL team of the week. His stock continues to rise. Cream rises to the top. The undisputed best left back in the EFL.

But hey, taking a look at the championship table, there is still hope for them staying in the Championship... at which point his 1.5m release clause isn't active

I think Antonee is a lock at this point. It will be interesting to see where he ends up next year. It could be West Ham, Leiceister. I am really hoping for Leicester. From MLS, I am hoping George Bello makes a return from injury.

Told my bro to bet on Sporting KC... he bet $1000, lucky those red cards happened. Betting on MLS is like flipping a coin on a high school co-ed match ! Ha

Well, Weah is progressing at pre-season camp and Loic Remy one of the strikers from last season departed. That's a good chance that Weah can become the 2nd striker. I think there is a good chance, you'll see him with the full National team, as opposed to the youth teams for Japan 2021.

Hopefully, Ayo, Mueller, Ferreira, Nova, Weah and Sargent progress.

Believe Richards will be loaned out to Stuttgart, Hertha Berlin, Union Berlin or Bremen. Be interesting to see how he will do.

Lille is getting close to 80M for Osimhen- I'd be surprised if they didn't bring in reinforcements soon. Also, having severely injured his hamstring (and then re-injuring it in his first appearance back)- don't be shocked when he is reintegrated slowly and/or starts off with sub appearances until he proves he's healthy and that his body can take the punishment.

Adams has looked great after all his time off, ditto for Pulisic after the restart. Here's hoping Weah has gotten stronger and fully injury free (hamstrings are notoriously troublesome-they need to be completely healed or the chances for further injury increase (see Altidore, Jozy)). Let's let Tim recover and have some time away from international play until he is truly ready to go.

CCV needs to be moving up the pecking order. If Luton pull off this escape. He would be a huge reason why.

The CB depth chart is particularly difficult to determine considering how many different leagues our CB's play across. IMO Brooks is the only inked in starter @ CB. After him there are a handful that all have a case for inclusion:
Miazga - @ Reading Strong passer, good winning duels. Technical & physical. Only knock is his propensity to take the physical too far.
Alvarado - @ Necaxa. Been away from USMNT for a while, but has been playing very well in Liga MX. Versatility makes him an interesting option...CB/LB/RB.
Long - @ NYRB. My least favorite option, but has more experience than those below.
CCV - @ Luton. Strong passing, good speed, technical player.
EPB - @ Vienna. Decent passer, good speed...weak league.
M. Robinson - @ Atlanta. Good speed & defensive positioning. OK passer but has the physical tools to be very good especially in CONCACAF.
Richards - @ Bayern. Still raw & inexperienced but could be the best of the bunch. Needs 1st team minutes IMO to move higher in the conversation.
-
Since the Olympics has been delayed it's going to be difficult for the likes of CCV EPB, Robinson & Richards to overtake the others ahead of the 2022 WC. Unless we move to a 3 back formation, then it opens more options for these guys to be included.

@Dave I agree with your breakdown but I have a few caveats

Brooks is the lock - no argument there

Miazga is solid - I believe he can play bottom tier EPL, but issues with health and temper, also out of favor with his club since his red card

Alvarado - I don't believe he's in the picture for fans or Gregg, but if I can remember he's lost his starting job in Mexico (Someone correct me if I'm wrong)

Long - my least favorite, I think his 1v1 defending is overrated and passing is awful even against Concacaf, I also don't think he has the most experience at the highest level being at a lesser club level than the others. International experience means nothing more than the manager favored you, which means nothing more than the manager likes you. He also likes Will Trapp and Roldan lol

CCV - is solid all the way around, maybe not great in possession but better than Long

EPB - also solid all around, versatile can play anywhere on the backline and 6. I'll push back on weak league. According to globalballrankimgs.com, Austria is much better than MLS. However, I would like to see him in Holland or France or low Bundesliga for good measure.

M. Robinson - excellent athlete, technique lacks and I don't know how he would respond against higher pressure and more advanced tactics. I can't say that he's a better athlete than EPB, CCV, CRich

CRich - Very reliable sources are saying that Union Berlin Want him and want him to play right now so I think he should be in the discussion as much as the others

I think CCV is at a good enough level for consideration, I'd like to see him at a better EFL club but he's doing work right now.
EPB also at a good enough level right now, but he needs a move for good measure I would say Robinson needs a move the most, but could get in due to domestic league favoritism
CRich will be starting in the Bundesliga next yr, he's in a good situation
