@knownothing We May not agree and that's fine, but there's no soccer reason to say an above average player in the mls is even close to on par with an above average Bundesliga player.

Now you don't have to come out and say something overtly racist to display a racist thought pattern or behavior.

When you belittle the superior resume of a minority to prop up the majority who has a clearly inferior resume, we are clearly beyond objective soccer reasoning.

You may not be aware of this bc it does not affect you, but as someone it does affect it's disturbing, toxic and dangerous.

In the workplace, if you give a job to someone who has a clearly inferior resume bc they share the same race as you, that's racism.
That's exactly what @lilshmike is so passively aggressively doing

The most toxic and dangerous is your behaviour when challenged on an opinion.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jussie_Smollett...

This is a prime example of someone trying to use race to his/her advantage which is very similar to what you are attempting to do. Even when arguing against Caucasian players(Boyd and Sargent) you cry racism. And when there is a suggestion that a minority player within MLS might be a candidate you cry racism.

If anything it is Euro bias vs domestic bias. And NOT racism as you repeatedly have suggested.

This isn't about challenging a fucking opinion; this is about you saying some bullshit that you know isnt true and wanting ppl to respect it as an opinion.
If we're Truly talking Football or sport, your level matters everywhere but in the minds of nationalist bigots such as yourself.

No one is comparing a G-League bench player over a NBA starter.
No one is comparing an MLB 3rd Division player with a big leaguer
No one is comparing an NFL starter with an Arena league player

It's fucking outrageous that you don't think ppl should be outraged at you saying players that are at least 2 levels below their counterparts can challenge them for their spots

Copied from the Bundesliga thread...

To be frank, and I'm pointing out the obvious for those who have been on this site for a while... this isn't the first time this has happened with bjelks going off the rails like he did.

This also hasn't been the first time he has claimed that he would calm down on the personal attacks and keep it to sport.

History repeats itself. It already has in this instance. Just stop engaging with the guy, because the reality is him "playing nice" will likely be short lived.

I tried to be civil for a night and you're back to instigating.
If you don't want to engage, that's cool.
We don't respect each other's opinions as is and you don't provide much if any useful info.
But take another passive aggressive shot at me and we can get back to it.

Nations League matches would have been this coming weekend. I hope someone sent Berhalter all of Duane Holmes's game tape to watch during the pandemic. I think he can be a real asset for us when the USMNT does get back out there.

It is disappointing not to see who would've been called into camp. I would be super surprised if DH, doesn't get called into the next camp and those camps will have more importance. But we are going into 2021 with more questions than answers because of lost time. That lost year is looking more and more critical. I would've loved to see more options at forward called into camp but I don't foresee that happening now.

But I hope GB uses some of the roster slots to create some competition at forward and midfield.

That is the roster from the last game they played, it will be updated when the next roster comes out. ussoccer.com had nothing to do with picking those players.

As of today this would be my starting 11:

Pulisic-Morris-Reyna
-Pomykal-
--Mckennie
-Adams-
Robinson-Brooks-EPB-Dest
-Guzan-
Speed and technique in all positions with this 11.

Bench:
GK: Gonzales, Horvath
FB: Vines, Cannon
CB: Long, Zimmerman
CM: Bradley, Yueill
AM: Ledezma
Wing: Llanez
Striker: Sargent, Altidore

Steffen is still injured
Zardes is out. I like Zardes but it's time to bring Jozy back.
Weah needs game time again.

I wouldn't call Morris a technical player

Pomykal is more of an 8, FYI Holmes was voted DC player of the yr as an AM

I wouldn't be so fast to dismiss Yedlin, Chandler, Moore and Gloster at the fb options

I think Zimmerman is terrible, Long is very shaky with 3 very bad games against mediocre to low level against Canada, Mexico and Venezuela

CCV, CRich and Miazga with the exception of the red have played well at a good level

Bradley has been dragging the USMNT down for the past 5 yrs, he's dead weight at this pt
Yueill is a step slow, lacks bite on the challenges, and I don't believe he can play against a press

Why do we only have 1 backup wing when we play 2 wings and 2 backup 6s when we play 1 6 lol?

Again why carry 2 backup strikers, when we only play 1 striker?

Would it make more sense to take away a 6 and a striker and add a winger and an 8 to have backups at every position?

If the last time we brought Jozy back, he was useless other than missing an open net, why do we need him now?

Speed and technique in all positions with this 11.

Bench:
GK: Gonzales, Horvath
FB: Duncan, Cannon
CB: Long, EPB
CM: Aaronson, Yueill
AM: Ledezma
Wing: Llanez
Striker: Sargent, Weah

Usually problems: Not enough experiece at CM, LB and striker. Going with Weah out of desperation more than thoughtfulness. Agreed he needs time back. Would use Dest as my back up LB in a pinch. I would also consider calling in Elfrain Alvarez. I think he would switch.

Agree to disagree. Everything is personal preference my friend. Oh and Holmes played more of an 8/6 not as a pure AM.

Duane has had equal starts at attacking and center mid.
https://www.transfermarkt.us/duane-holmes/lei...

Also, can we not agree that we need a backup at every position?

Should player personal preference have some objective basis in who is actually the better player?

It's frustrating to see guys at equal or higher levels get completely dismissed because domestic league fans prefer to lose with their favorite domestic players.

This is the same reason we didn't qualify last cycle.
