Yes I am talking about only football when I say Chandler should be picked above Morris.
He's much more proven at a higher level and currently at a clearly higher level.
He's more technical and tactically astute.
Chandler has been the highest performing American in the world in 2020.
He's more positionally versatile as he he can play anywhere on the backline, either wing or 6.
It's a no brainer for me

Mls is arguably the 20th best league in the world on par with Greek Super League and Bundesliga 2 based on the value of the players in the league's teams.
The volume and value of transfers compared to mid tier South American and European leagues is not comparable.
The performance of players in WCs compared to mid tier Euro and South America are not comparable.
The level of squad, league play, and tourney competition with mid tier Euro and South America are not comparable.

If we can't agree on these objective facts and well thought out reasonings, we will not be able to engage civilly.

See ya!

Agree with you 1000 percent bjelks there definitely is an MLS bias when it comes to USMNT. I'm afraid that no matter the argument they're never going to agree with you. Chandler is prob the only American consistently scoring in a top league in Europe and we're arguing if he should be called up to the national team that's CRAZY. If a mls player wants to be called up to the national team he better be either top 3 in scoring or assists.

And young enough that he can still make a move to a higher level and contribute

Yeah, pretty much everything I highlighted in bold can be debated... making it more of opinion rather than fact. But yet you state it's all objective fact... when in reality they're subjective assertions. This is why you're incapable of civil debates on this site.

Come on man. Why do you always find a way to hijack and ruin the discussions on almost every thread in the site? Seriously, I genuinely think you should either find help or get another hobby.

No, everything I've given you is factual and can be objectively researched.
I've given you very thorough analysis of league rankings.
I've given you an apples to apples comparison of Morris and Chandler.
The truth is it's difficult to compare the 2 bc Timmy's resume is so much better than Jordan's.

Until you can put your fanboy bigot hat down and acknowledge that quite possibly your privileged great hope saviors are in fact not the solutions to the USMNT's problems, you won't be able to objectively evaluate the pool and we won't be able to engage civilly.

You have a trend of trying to belittle the achievements and abilities of minority, dual-citizen, young players in order to prop up players that have the background and appearance you want to represent your national team and it's this type of ignorant bigotry that's burning this fucking country down.

If you want to continue with childish snarky remarks of what I should I do with my time, I have one for you as well. How about you keep your fucking suggestions to yourself and eat a dick, preferably one of the alt-right ones you seem to think so highly of?

I vote we take a break from the site for awhile. If Bjelks, has no one to engage with. He has to change the way he engages with people. And Bjelks, I would encourage you relax a little bit.

I would encourage you to acknowledge facts regarding the game of football no matter who they are in favor of, if you want to discuss it. There's nothing wrong with the way I engage with people. I'm respectful to people who are respectful to me. Don't tell me to relax. When I see prejudice behavior, I will call it out.

Hahahaha omg... this is one of the most outrageous posts I've seen on this site by far.

Can whoever runs this site please invest in a moderator? This is long overdue.

Really @bjelks? Let's keep it to soccer and keep the personal attacks out of it.

And frankly, I have a hard time believing you when you say we should be inclusive and accuse others of bigotry when you then turn around and issue personal attacks on anyone that does not agree with you.

False, I issue personal attacks when people are openly racist.

It's a fact that the value of mls players as a league is on par with Bundesliga 2 and slightly above League One

When you belittle the accomplishments of superior minority players to prop up inferior white or domestic players, it's a form of bigotry and racism.

I'm fine with disagreeing with me but being willfully ignorant when it comes to universally accepted facts of the game to discredit minority players and young players, I have a personal problem with.

Please be my guest and have a problem with the level of overt passion and aggression that I express myself, but do not let that distract you from the factual accuracy and relevancy of the message.

Argue with me about the factual accuracy of my points, I have supporting evidence for all of them.
But don't tell me to calm down and applaud passive aggressive oppressive group cyber bullying.

Sorry, have to disagree. I do not see where @lilshmike has come out and said he believes that non-white players are inferior. He has repeatedly advocated a coherent system for player selection that involves playing time in competitive leagues. His ideas are restrictive and yes, league comparisons are subjective, but in no way do I find them racist.

I personally do not agree with @lilshmike's approach. He and I have argued...I am not going to change his mind nor he mine. But I respect his ability to express these opinions without resorting to name calling. Perhaps you should do the same.

@knownothing We May not agree and that's fine, but there's no soccer reason to say an above average player in the mls is even close to on par with an above average Bundesliga player.

Now you don't have to come out and say something overtly racist to display a racist thought pattern or behavior.

When you belittle the superior resume of a minority to prop up the majority who has a clearly inferior resume, we are clearly beyond objective soccer reasoning.

You may not be aware of this bc it does not affect you, but as someone it does affect it's disturbing, toxic and dangerous.

In the workplace, if you give a job to someone who has a clearly inferior resume bc they share the same race as you, that's racism.
That's exactly what @lilshmike is so passively aggressively doing
