So 7 games into the season and 3 of the 5 top scorers are Americans. Muller with 6, Morris and Zardes with 5 each. Muller also has 3 assist and Morris 2, and Zardes 1.

Not too shabby.

Muller has looked good.

SOME clubs in MLS are playing younger and younger which is rather good for the long term. I imagine he will probably get sold on in a year or two but don't know much about the kid myself.

I know MLS has a reputation as a retirement league but the average age is in the ballpark of most leagues.

MLS 26.2
EPL 26.5
La Liga 27.2
League One 25.1
Bundisliga 25.3

Cowell is one to watch for sure.

He's a couple months away from 17. He's fast and strong for his age. He doesn't look out of place or intimidated at all against MLS comp. He has a ways to go in his understanding of the game, a little loose with his decision making and a little slow on combo play.

Right now he looks like a player who has always depended on his speed so solve his field situations....a little bit like Weah in that regard, But he has a great coach in Almeyda who knows what it takes to play international ball...and who has stated he will be looking at younger players for the remainder of the abbreviated MLS season. So hopefully we'll get to see him get a lot more opportunities.

The Quakes played him at left mid, but he should be groomed to play target forward. He has solid international level speed and is already over 6 feet tall. If he can develop the mental side of the game...watch out

Another Quakes player with potential is Skahan....flank mid that Almeyda played centrally late against Minnesota.

I think this is good to see for MLS and our USMNT. We have starts abroad and domestically, I wouldn't mind seeing Cardoso at some point in the near future. But domestically, this is nice to see.

Atlanta getting this top TV spot Saturday is a travesty for anyone who hasn't seen them play

These boys are STRUGGLING.

Good on Orlando for finally finding that stream of good play but man no Josef and the team is absolute cheeks w/o him

It's always a thing watching San Jose with their system it can be wide open.

*cole Bassett has good vision to along with two feet. Mentally aggressive too, I don't see him taking plays off so to speak. A lot of guys drift, Bassett seems like he can stay locked in.

**Cade cowell is a f-ing UNIT. Holy shit this guys 16.

I had the same feeling when seeing him for the first time today. I was expecting a small baby faced kid. He seemed to have a high motor too.

It seems San Jose and Houston are both well coached teams. Tab has gotten them playing respectable ball.

I was also looking at Atlanta and looking at Bello and Robinson. Bello seems solid defensively and plays conservative passes didn't contribute much to the attack. Robinson failed to move the needle much in this match.

Yeah I'm excited by Cowell. He looks a true prospect at any FWD position.
