Why because he scored ? The announcer said first goal in 500 days in the bundesliga!!

Yawn

Because in the first 20 minutes of the game, he picked a pass that maybe 2-3 players in the pool could hit (should have been an assist), displayed close control in traffic on the goal that maybe 2-3 players in the pool could replicate, and was Schalke's best overall player in the half. Covered an insane amount of ground.

Exactly, who else has shown ways skill set? Barring injuring Weah is pretty much an automatic selection. And comparing Weah and Adu is not really accurate for a variety of factors. His parent and the early exposure to fame, training methods, etc.

Weah was in a much better position than Adu. I think with a little more thought that is a easily acknowledge. Or you saying Gio Reyna is going to flame out too?

This is relatively a mute point because Weah is injured. And I think hamstrings are tricky, so with Weah it is wait and see. But he held his own and then some when given chances with the National team. We looked threatening on attack and I saw defenses struggle to match his speed, awareness, and technique

Lol I've never heard anyone credible say 6/8s are useless players.
And then go and say someone who was a top player as a teen on the 2nd best team in the Bundesliga basic and mediocre is laughable.
Then dismiss that the same kid scored in the Champs league knockout stage as a teen.
Like I said either you're trolling or don't understand the game to make comments like this.

Here's the difference between me and you (and everyone else)

• I've presented a partnership strategy with Don Garber in person
• I've had multiple phone calls with Sunil Gulati
• I pitched a deal to US Soccer and spoke to Jay Berhalter on the phone
• Eric Wynalda was going to bring me on to US Soccer if he won the election. Was literally texting me during the election while I was sitting at Goodison Park In Liverpool
• I'm in a business partnership with a former national team player

I'll come on and talk shit from a fan perspective but at least I get real people to listen instead of super fans on a forum

???????????????????

He has a great skill set, it is a no brainer to call him to camp, but he has proven exactly nothing as a professional footballer with 4 goals to his name and 3 on loan. He is an exciting young prospect like Reyna, not an automatic starter. I think with a little more thought that is easily acknowledged.

I can agree with you he isn't an automatic starter when he is back. And a lot depends on how he responds, I think hamstrings tend to re-occur.

I believe he will find his way back and earn a starting spot for USMNT. But it worrisome how many injuries our players are getting.

I am pretty sure I know how Bjelks is going to respond to this, I am going to keep my mouth shut and watch the magic happen.

Hahaha agreed.

If bjelks is smart, he'll keep his mouth shut, create a new alias, and start posting under a new name. Pretty sure he's done that once before already though...

Ireland vs France 6 nations (Rugby - I had to google) match is postponed!
Wales is still playing though.

I'm guessing the US matches will be cancelled too !

@blaise213 your political affiliations with real corrupt unqualified incompetent people mean nothing to me.
If you don't understand the game enough to agree with much more credible soccer minds outside of the flawed US system that not only is Mckennie in our 23, but he's an automatic starter and a top 5 player in the pool, then none of your butt kissing will improve the program.

I will chime in on the McKennie debate because some seem to be piling on bjelks but not offering anything intellectually.

Blaise hasn't offered a replacement about how should replace McKennie and also hasn't recognised his accomplishments. I think McKennie's talents are not flashy, he doesn't wow! But he is competent even on a high level. When he was pulled from one game his opposition went to put on four goals. Maybe it is related, maybe it's not. But if I was the manager, I doubt I would do that again. I didn't watch that game unfortunately so myknowledge is limited.

As far as who Blaise know thatv is great for him personally but even I don't see how it merits any relevance about McKennie's merits as a player. I think Weston has shown he has the ability to compete on a high level and he has the kind of heart and ability the team needs. He is a little bit of a fighter which the team sorely needs.

But Blaise, if you don't have McKennie, who would you have in his place?

Frankly I don't think McKennie has been used properly by Berhaulter. Part of that is due to Adams having been sidelined with injury....and the continued use of Roldan.
McKennie's best kill set is his high motor (tenacity) and his opportunistic late runs into the box. IMO he's better suited to playing in a 4-2-3-1 where he's paired with Adams as part of the 2 deep lying CMs. Put an attack minded CM (8 or 10) in front of them and I believe we'll see a much more productive performance out of McKennie.
I think this would also benefit our outside backs as they'd be more free to get into the attack without leaving us exposed.

Is he getting too much playing time to be in your lineup of benchwarmers, youth team players and guys who were good in 2014?

I'm late but this is hilarious. Blaise does tend to cater toward the side of nostalgia and youth team players. U8 dual nationals playing abroad with an ounce of American in them, he is particularly fond of.

Why all the bickering? Here's the difference between you guys and me.
I played division 1 college soccer in the late 70's
I believe McKennie is a starter
I wish Morris would have gone to Europe
Weah needs to stay healthy before anything else
Bring on the young guys
I am not a MLS fan
I have more money than all of you
I am suppose to go to Spain on vacation next week. Tickets to Barca game and travel the country. What do I do?
