I get what you're saying about McKennie. However, he has had some good games for the USA, albeit against inferior opponents. Even though I think his ball skills and passing are average at best, I can't think of another option who is so clearly better at the above while still maintaining they physical edge he brings.

I haven't heard much about Robinson since the Milan move fell through...looks like he has been out with a groin injury.

Who in Europe that would be a candidate to be called up is currently injured?

Robinson
Pulisic
Weah
Adams
Holmes
Miazga
Steffen

Who else?

Miazga - played 90 this past weekend, and 120 mid-week.
Adams - Report this past week (SBI) says he's healthy and able to play.
-
While I'd have liked to see Holmes, Robinson, & Weah finally get an opportunity to replace some of the underwhelming MLS Regulars (Roldan, Lovitz, Arriola); they'll hopefully get healthy and have an opportunity before WCQ starts.
-
Pulisic & Steffen are a loss, but they are also known quantities. Better they get healthy and get back into their clubs starting line-ups.

More worrisome are the players who aren't injured but aren't playing much or at all like Yedlin, Sargent, Morales.....

-
Sargent - Has mostly been a bench player all year.
Morales - Always seems to be a yo-yo type player his hole career. Starter for stretches and then benched for stretches.
Yedlin is a bit of a question. Not sure what's happening with him.
-
Overall just looking forwards to seeing some fresh faces who will hopefully be able to challenge for spots going forwards. With injuries to some of GB's regulars (Bradley, Pulisic, Arriola) and with the Olympic Qualifying tournament pulling some others away from the Sr. Team (Yueill, Cannon, Pomykal, Aaronson, etc...) there should be some interesting call-ups.
Looking forwards to hopefully seeing:
Reyna, Ledezma, Goster, Alvarado, CCV/EPB, Novakovich, Soto/Sabbi

Everyone would have liked to see Sargent take a bigger step forward this year. At the same time, Werder is an absolute disaster. Last game I saw, Sargent came on for the last 10+ minutes. Looked like he was playing high on the right side. Needless to say, he was constantly having to drift well back into Werder's half to have any chance at possession and was having to defend a lot in order to get any touches on the ball. Almost impossible for 20 year old to be successful in those circumstances. Really reminds me of the horrific Hull City and Sunderland teams that killed Jozy's growth. Big difference being that Sargent has a much higher work rate, so he's still helpful even in his limited minutes.

what is becoming worrisome is the injurys to our key players: CP, Adams, Holmes, Green, brooks, yedlin, jozy, bradley, morris coming off acl,

Ill call it now, Brooks will not be on our WC team due to injury. I would rather see fringe euro and young mls guys for the march friendlies given the injuries-we need to see who we can call should the injury trends continue.

Most likely postponed or played behind closed doors. But Sargent and Weston scored tonight and Adams on the bench.

Of the players you referenced, only CP, Adams, Brooks, and possibly Yedlin are what I'd call "Key Players". Morris may be a key player right now, but as Reyna & Weah progress he'll quickly be relegated to a Back-up role.
As much as I like Holmes & Green, and believe they should be part of the team, they've never been significant contributors to the team.
Jozy has a long history of injuries and missing significant tournaments....His time is coming to an end, and we should not count on him being healthy.
Bradley's time with the Sr. Team is over....and probably should have been for a while. His injury is just forcing Berhaulter to move on.
What players are involved in the March friendlies will be heavily influenced by who is released for the Olympic Tournament. Ledezma, Llanez, Mendez, A. Robinson, Gloster, CCV, EPB, Richards, Vassilev, Sabbi, Cappis, De La Fuente, Soto, are all players that could be with the Olympic team if released by their clubs (I'm not including Reyna, Adams, McKennie, & Sargent as it's fairly certain they won't be released). if they're not released...then I'd be all for many of them being added to the Sr. Team for the March friendlies.

He's basic and average. A player that needs to be around better players to succeed. His team is struggling. He is a ghost for the National team...... repeat

@blaise with the worst player evaluation in the history of this thread just because he doesn't know what the purpose of a 6/8 is and has never heard of the Bundesliga lol.

Sit back and take notes buddy.

I am sorry but what has Weah ever done to be considered a key player? Dude has plenty of potential but what has he scored like 3 professional goals? Of his 3 or 4 goals only one for PSG the rest on loan. I am sorry everyone keeps touting him but he has never done anything to merit anything more than a hopeful callup.

Weah has made it to one of the top clubs in the world but you think he is only potential? Neymar has praised him. Your football knowledge and experience is greater than Neymar's?

He was exciting to watch at Celtic and it is unfortunate he has injuries this year. Hard to say how much time it will take him to comeback and what kind of form he will have when he is back.

And exactly, who from our candidate pool has a similar skill set? He has more pace than most and finishes well. But there is not a like for like replacement for Weah. And Weah and Sargent play well together.

He makes the team better from the Sacrahan time we have seen this.

He sat the bench or got sent out on loan for one of the top clubs in the world. He scored one goal for that club. It's really stupid to say he has to prove something before we say he is a game changer. Oh and Neymar once said he was pretty good. Oh and Pele once praised Freddy Adu, how did that turn out?

Lol I've never heard anyone credible say 6/8s are useless players.
And then go and say someone who was a top player as a teen on the 2nd best team in the Bundesliga basic and mediocre is laughable.
Then dismiss that the same kid scored in the Champs league knockout stage as a teen.
Like I said either you're trolling or don't understand the game to make comments like this.
