I'll be constructive.

If Gregg doesn't flip this roster by 11-12 players, if he plays Lovitz, Roldan, Baird, Bradley, Zardes, Trapp again and we don't beat Canada by multiple goals, he absolutely has to go before 2020.

If he leaves a healthy Morales or Holmes he has to go.

If he doesn't bring in new non-mls players like a Sonora, EPB or Gall or young players, he has to go.

I'm for replacing him with Tab. He knows the young players.
Or Alameyda, he understands players and tactics at a high level.

Mourinho's going to take another club job eventually, there's no way he wants to be managing games in San Pedro Sula and more importantly there's no chance we're going to pay him what he wants.

I'm calling you out because you're making the guy a scapegoat right now when he legitimately didn't even play the last 2 games. Like, seriously. Come on man.

If you're upset that you think he is taking a spot from another kid who could maybe get a look, I get that, but you're blowing smoke on something that just isn't true... as evidenced by his role with the USMNT the last couple of games/FIFA windows.

I think quoting you to start my reply is appropriate I'll even bold it for you. Like, seriously, come on man, I'll add your other replies. Dude what are you even talking about...

The irony in your reply to me is two fold.

1. You blasted @spank for reading comprehension. but my post is about GB being a dud and his horrible player selection. Therefore I was giving an example of his hubris in his player selection, there is no logical person who believes Trapp should ever be called into even a camp cupcakes yet he still gets called in and plays-. Its called giving an example -I didn't blame Trapp for the Canada loss, so be careful about blasting others for something you failed to do, understand the argument/reading comprehension.

2. You always point out not liking the messenger vs the message-this seems to be a perfect example of you being on your soap box and responding to me when I didn't say anything about you-and what were you debating ? that I mentioned Trapp.

you need to stop your job as "calling people out" police, this is a forum made up of people who will have diff opinions than yours. Us keyboard warriors may not be soccer genius or have Nat talent, but many of us have played the game, I never made it past D1 but I understand the game the game never the less, I enjoy as a fan giving my opinion. Yours seem to be back the current players, no to euro guys, US soccer is great, we need not worry bc qualifying hasn't started. I strongly disagree and believe you should apply for a job with US soccer b.c they seem to keep the status quo as well.

As seen by attendance and soccer pundits there are other of us who thinks we need to try something new. That means from the youth system, pay to play, player selection, scouting, transparency, nepotism, etc

and to answer your question YES i think Trapp sucks and is taking someone else's spot -I believe prob 98 percent of the people on this forum think the same-who cares if he knows GB system he deserved 2 call ups during the 1st game or two that GB coached after that he should have been let go. Jaxson Y has shown more in his time than Trapp-

Also I believe @bjelks said when you put euro guys next to mls guys who think slower it dumbs them down.

Anyone catch JS goal today? Weird he started the play, and finished the play-when he gets service he is good and will continue to develop. is he a finished product nope will he be our best option should we qualify absolutely assuming we have guys who can get him the ball.

I have been calling for Green for a while-but I guys Corey Baird will do. Sure Green has never scored with his face, and he is not as fast as Arrolia/Morris BUT the guy has scored in a world cup, a first class finish, score against France, and can trap the ball so I guess his chances of being called in are not that great.

It might be greater than you think. He is playing as an attacking 8 now which I think suits him way better than as a winger. I would like to see him get another shot.

I Could easily make the case that Nagbe is the best USA eligible CM at keeping possession. He either keeps the ball moving to a teammate or gets fouled more often than not. He'd be a massive upgrade over Roldan/Bradley.

Green, Pomykal, Holmes also should be in camp and given a long look for CM spots but there should be at least 2 spots available. Scary thing is last time Pomykal was in a camp he was used as a winger...

Parks and Sonora are interesting players and I'd love to see them too but I doubt we see them all...

Having said all that, Nagbe has clearly made a point of not accepting call ups and I don't really expect him to now.

I'd like to see Adams/Holmes/McKennie as the midfield trio next month.

I know I got carried away. I sure hope so, always thought he got a bad deal with us, he played well a majority of time then had a couple avg games out wide and never got called back.

Re Nagbe-I want to know why he declined the call up. Was it bc he cares more about his club? If so no thanks don't need players like that. Or is it bc he was pissed for being passed up so many times and while out playing guys like traps, roldon, bradley he couldn't consistently see the field. I like him, he would be a big help (when he tries) - but would be great to hear the whole story of how many times he has declined and what the reasons were.

Guys I think are a must to call up and get playing time are : Green, Holmes, Paxton, A Robinson, M Robinson (we can't depend on brooks he is always hurt), richards, EPB,
I think Alvarado deserves a look- he is comfortable on the ball.

Guys who should get a look as well: Gloster, Reyna, Ledzema, mendez,

wouldn't it be great to call in (and logistically this can't happen) the core mls guys who get call ups vs the euro 2nd teasers/mls non core call up guys and play a 2 game tournament for camp cupcake-the players whom emerge keep getting called up.

Cameron became hyper critical of the federation for it's reluctance to accept players going to Europe is a good thing. Article is here:

https://www.theplayerstribune.com/en-us/artic...

If called Cameron would probably come. But at his age it is probably best to develop younger players.

A lot of our players could use a move and I think we will be seeing the guys from Dallas get sold the next few years. I just like Reggie cannon as a smart athlete, we lack those. Either our guys are too athletic without enough field smarts (see Berhalters evaluation of K. Acosta for example) or are out there looking like Michael Bradley (all brains, legs run into ground as MB90). Tyler Adams, Jordan Morris, EPB, Richards, Dest, Steffen, Weah, Sargent... these guys I'm listing qualify in both categories. And it's something we need to play to their advantage.

Let these guys play with instinct and you'll see their best. Take the robotic shackles off.
