I think don't mess with Dest let him be RB and Cannon left back. It's only two games and let him get experience. Don't shift around for the time being.

I was looking at Bruce Arena's quote that the World Cup is a young man's game. I want to see GB follow his old coaches advice.

I won't watch these games just because not excited to watch. January, I look forward to. Weah, Adams, should be back. Already a much different team with those two. Maybe we struggle and Holmes gets a deserved call up. I was also reading and I read that Jurgen took Donovan to the World Cup with only six appearances for first team. And the following World Cup, the exclusion was somewhat personal, not just stat related.

I'll catch the highlights. Maybe there is some pressure on USF because I read ticket prices only 25 dollars.

4-1-4-1...transition to 4-3-3 in attack.

I don't think we'll see the slow scripted GB approach...Herdman knew exactly what he was stubbornly trying to do last time...easy pickings. I think we'll have a very direct route one answer to that if Herdman stacks the midfield. I think we'll be very direct without looking for our 6 to be a primary distributor...so Imo, no trapp or Yueill to start...pure destroyer 6 in Morales... I would love to see Yueill though because he has vision and ability to drop dimes on people upfield.. I don't see how he gets on...with Lletget also on...Lletget is critical Imo, need his savvy up field...we're so thin with this roster in that area for this game....especially losing Puli's savvy....Need Dest's savvy up field for this one.

Conservative flank fullbacks with speed to deal with Canada's counter.

................Sarg...............
..Dest....Lletget.........Morris
...........McK..................
................Morales...........
Yedlin...Brooks...Long...Cannon
..............Guz..................

I think many of us have thought that 3-5-2 is the way to go, but honestly I'm going to let Berhalter coach his team. This is his deal, and he has left us vulnerable to these injuries by not choosing players besides Trapp and Lovitz and Roldan. Trapp should start based off his reputation with the coach. @chrisBP I don't see Gregg "going very direct" or "playing with a destroyer" he hasn't done that and there's no real evidence he will. If he's going to do something he doesn't believe in, Gregg isn't our guy.

@SoccerInsider: "USSF sporting dir Earnie Stewart says #USMNT Coach Gregg Berhalter's job is safe, regardless of Canada & Cuba results. "We're looking at the future. So when I evaluate Gregg & the staff, what I've seen today, I'm a pleased man. An individual result is not going to change that.""

Ham - route one is not his first choice, but being tactically flexible if Herdman stacks his midfield is almost required. Bottomline, up to this point he's stuck to his same approach. He's broadcast to the world his intent, so he is beyond predictable to coach against. Now he needs a result, and imo, he'll be a little less predictable with his "learning approach".

Imo, we threw Canada a bone last game knowing the situation they were in. We handed Herdman the script and just dogged it around the field and made them look like world beaters.

I think we'll see a much different game this time around.

You want to give GB a vote of confidence. Fine, whatever. But the rest? Come the eff on.

Anybody know anyone in the American Outlaws? How do they feel about GGG?

I don't know if anyone remembers the old computer game/tv show "Where in the world is Carmen SanDiego". Well it would be nice to start the chant "Where in the H#ll is Duane Holmes?" to the Carmen SanDiego chorus

Could someone explain to me how it is possible to remove Jay Berhalter the man that makes like ~700k a year to wreck things as CEO of US Soccer. Is there a board of directors that can vote to remove the CEO? Who is on the board?

Easiest thing would be a twitter campaign against him. You could also have t-shirts printed that say JAY OUT to be worn at homne internationals (mens and womens). Public opinion will help get the ball rolling.

@chris- is his hand forced? I don't know and I think we continue in the same direction. I agree we see more from the players but the spacing, confusion, and passive defense will also continue to be a problem. I hope for a win but think we may see a draw. Canada has a lot to play for.

He needs 3 points, no time or place for teaching moments. I don't know if his hand is forced...just common sense. I think we're all done with the 90 min teaching opportunities in games where we need to show competitive spirit and get a result...needs to be balanced and flexible tactically...I think we'll see that.

For a guy who wore the shirt, Berhalter seems to lack an understanding of the attitude necessary to wear the shirt. Very odd. You'd think he'd grasp that part of it well.
