I'll pass on Nagbe...he holds the ball well but does absolutely nothing with it at the international level...the most passive attacking mentality and marshmallow soft defensively...can't have someone who shirks responsibility when it gets tough up the spine.

I'll pass on Ramos as full nats coach. He has done well with the U20s, but had some pretty good talent to work with the last few cycles. I've always thought his success is mainly due to the quality of the players instead of his coaching ability. Imo, his success wouldn't translate well going to the nats. I also believe he has been in the running for a few MLS positions over the years and hasn't come through...I don't think he's all that.

RE:GB

He's easy to coach against right now, because he's stubbornly sticking to his same scripted patterns to transition out of the back....come hell or high water...so players can supposedly get better at reading the cues and finding solutions...but the progress is slow to almost nonexistent...meanwhile the other coach knows exactly what he is trying to do and can tactically shut it down.

Kind of like an NFL coach running the same play 10 times in a row to get better at it, but can't achieve the goal because the opposing coach knows exactly what to prepare for...

GB needs to change it up so he isn't completely predictable and work on smaller elements of his game

I think he is good coach, but too stubborn with his current approach...

The best comparison I can bring with respect to Tab is Gareth Southgate and England... and its turned out pretty well. I wouldn't discredit him entirely.

Yahoo actually has it been announced this week. But also, the report is coming out of Holland. Could be nothing but you'd feel more comfortable coming out of USA.

Yeah, Dest is getting things done with Ajax right now...not good for us.

I think we've lost him. I'd be blown away if chose USA at this point.

I think he might announce after the Chelsea game tonight. I hope we see CP vs Dest tonight.

I still think it is knock against Berhalter. It is somewhat like college football recruiting, I can agree with. I am sure Dest can see the state of the US program and the state of Orange.

It might really suck if we lose our dual nationals that were with the U-20s. Soto, Mendez, Dest, Llanez.

I know it isn't solely GB's fault but his decision making isn't helping it seems.

Maybe Dest stays, sure hope so.

Can't blame him if he chooses the Dutch. I really think it would only be a sense of loyalty and his relationships with his friends from the youth setup that might keep him in the fold. He seems like a good kid and either way I hope he has a great career.

No way Wagner would take it.

Tab was offered the interim job but declined. He said he either wanted it permanently or not at all. At this point if he was offered it permanently, he may say yes.

So you spoke with Wagner ? I didn't say he would in fact I started by saying I doubt but curious if you had inside knowledge that he wouldn't.

Also I acknowledged Tab was offered the job-he turned it down b,c he knew it was a sham process and because of nepotism there was no way he would get the job.

Its a pointless debate as he is now coaching mld-shame really I think he is prob a better Nats coach than day to day coach.

And Morris went back to his club and scored a hat trick. Must have been the Euro guys holding him back? You are using flawed logic, but apparently you can't see that.

What was flawed with my analysis? Did you read what I wrote? Please reread and reply where I was incorrect.

Yep Morris scored with speed and hustle. Thats good, but the difference is he needs speed plus tech skills on the INT level. And when you rely on just speed but the Euro guys are relying on Positioning, technical speed, mental quickness, and physical speed, it will certainly through off the guys whom expect you to be in a certain area. Scoring in the Bundesliga or assisting in the Premier League is far more impressive than MLS.

When he made the decision to have a specific system and include a certain portion/ exclude another portion of the pool, Berhalter decided the course of his coaching career with the USA. I don't see any reason to really change from his point of view, if he thought this is the best way forward. Saying that, if he can't get results in the next games, I don't see why he would change after that either... this is his soccer viewpoint. To get Gregg to do things differently, we may as well hire a new coach that believes in that alternate direction. I for sure don't want Gregg running another system that he feels inferior to his own. It's a dilemma for the fans, of how much to keep accepting. A year ago I said fan apathy and disinterest were at an all time high, but I was wrong that just keeps being the case. If the board sticks with this guy another year, it'll be another year of this same shit. He won't change, nor should he. Just hire someone better.

Also to stop disrespecting Canada- a draw probably gets them into the Hex. And that's all they need is a chance to keep progressing. We take too much for granted.

Sargent with another assist and a good play to make the assist. In control looking for a quality pass. He should start even if Jozy if healthy. Counting on Altidore is too much at this point, I'd almost rather look at sargent and Weah with zardes as their backup for World Cup qualifying.
