I've used this analogy a number of times... but it's still so applicable.

Whenever challenged on anything, it's as though @bjelks flips over the monopoly board, throws the pieces all over the room, and then struts around like hes won the game.

It's actually hilarious.

Chandler has done well and has earned a shot at getting in the pool. But let's not kid ourselves and make the claim that hes our best performed player this year... hes got on a bit of a hot streak since moving up the pitch. Until he keeps on doing this for a consistent ly longer period of time (meaning through the remainder of this season, and continue into the fall), hes simply the flavor of the week.

Given we've been thin on the wings recently, he should get a shout next camp (assuming hes healthy).

In 2020, Timmy Chandler has started 10-15 games and appeared in 14/15 games in a top 5 league in the world, closer to top 3.

In those games he has scored 5 goals as a winger.

No other attacking player in the pool has produced what he has at a top level in the yr 2020.

He has been our highest performing field player this year without question.

I'm not letting any belittling of his accomplishments slide.

We cannot afford to ignore players of his caliber.

You can't talk about shit but lies and how much you want to hype mls.

Like I said you are a racist bc you like the type of blacks that are docile and robotic. You have bias against young players, foreign based players, dual citizens to promote players from the system with the backgrounds you like.

I'm not apologizing for calling you out for being a racist ignorant piece of shit. That's me grabbing my nuts. You fanboy.

You gave bullshit context that fits your fanboy narrative.
You can't undermine me saying Boyd playing in a more pressure environment Than Jordan when he actually does.
It's also hilariously ignorant that Chandler is playing the best football of his career and you referred to him being past his prime. I also find it funny that you think a coach that snubbed arguably our best played ever for some scrubs should have his decision to bench Chandler be applauded.
This being on a team that only made it to the RO16

Lol don't waste my time on your soccer for dummies tactical hyperbole when you can't even objectively identify the best players in the pool without mls bias.
I'll give you my thoughts on Weston: has shaky touch and decisions. Arguably our best ball winner and best engine. He needs to play with a competent 6 and 10 which he never has, there you have it tactics pal.

Again Ully was the best player in an all mls vet camp and concacaf game with no first team mins, so that should tell you what to do with them.
Man find something else to talk about. This ain't your thing pal.

Don't apologize on the thread for jacking off mls and putting down bundesliga players in a Bundesliga thread, you did what you wanted to. You passive aggressive coward.

I vote we take a break from the site for awhile. If this is the way, Bjelks chooses to engage. Then he needs to change the way he engages. And Bjelks, relax. It's just football.

If you choose to engage with me disrespectfully, I will return the favor. It's more than football when you see that someone such as yourself has no problem tearing down the abilities and accomplishments of minorities, duals, and young players to prop up guys that have the background you want representing the team.

These are the facts. When you dismiss the fact that the minority/ dual player has a much better resume and international reputation than the player with your background that you want to promote and get offended by the suggestion of it, we have a problem bigger than football.

When you try to silence someone that speaks a truth that strips the credibility away from your xenophobic, racist, and ageist agenda, it's more than just football.

I'm here to talk football, but if you can't appropriately evaluate mls to the rest of the world, we won't be able to engage civilly.

Quote from Juan Carlos Osorio

"When Mexico played against Brazil I knew that all the Brazilians played in the best leagues in the world," said Osorio. "With the very good group of players that we had, Carlos Vela, Hector Herrera and Hirving Lozano, we needed others like Brazil had in the forward line: William, [Philippe] Coutinho, Neymar, Gabriel Jesus. In Mexico we only had one similar to them: Carlos Vela.

"In Brazil's midfield: Casemiro, Paulinho, Renato Augusto; in Mexico only Hector Herrera," he continued. "The full-backs of Brazil: Marcelo and [Dani] Alves; in Mexico we converted [Jesus] Gallardo from a winger. The difference is in the players."

And bjelks is here getting bashed for saying the same exact thing.

@Glister

I don't think many (if any) are in disagreement that we should have our best players playing in the best leagues in the world, and that (ideally) we should be calling those players up.

The issue is when any person who disagrees with bjelks, or points out a flaw in his logic (and there are numerous), gets comments like this in return:

"Like I said you are a racist bc you like the type of blacks that are docile and robotic. You have bias against young players, foreign based players, dual citizens to promote players from the system with the backgrounds you like.

I'm not apologizing for calling you out for being a racist ignorant piece of shit. That's me grabbing my nuts. You fanboy
."

That is actually inexcusable, and hopefully you aren't defending that type of behavior.

@Lilshmike

Thanks for pointing that out. This is exactly what most of us on this board are tired of when it comes to Bjelks.

Bjelks is not here for true discourse but for someone that agrees with him and if you disagree with him. You're somehow a racist. Even if you you support an American player within MLS that is a minority or if you are against a foreign based player that is white, as in the case of Boyd.

Part of my motivation for challenging Bjelks is so he changes his habit of posts like that.

@Glister

I see you are relatively new to this board. Bjelks has this habit that he needs to work on.

@Samtom23 @lilshmike I only pop off when you intentionally discredit players with superior resumes to push your racist, bigoted, xenophobic agenda.

How come every other country in the world gets this, but in America we think it's best to pick players from backgrounds that make us feel good rather than the ones most merited?

We're arguing about no brainer duals and minority players.

You're overvaluing a league that's between 20-25th In the world by every metric.

The evidence tells us that when we lead with mls players we don't qualify, but when I say this, you all get butt hurt bc some of those players don't look, sound or have the background you feel reflects your America, the one that is burning down

I hope Llanez can get a runout after being called up to the first team (bench for the Leverkusen game). He wasn't on the bench last game, unfortunately (didn't hear if he was hurt or just excluded). I like what I've seen of him and want to see him make the big breakthrough.

The fact of the matter is when you find something you don't like...you cry race. Even if, we are arguing about white players, not being included as in Boyd and Sargent. (Give Sargent time and someone to challenge for his spot that happens to be Mexican American) or challenge Brooks (who I think is best but chronically injured) with Miles Robinson but isn'tyour kind of minority. I can say you accurately you do not know what racism is.

If anything, you should be saying domestic bias vs Euro bias.

@Bjelks

This is something you should read and reflect on.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jussie_Smollett...

And don't forget, is something every happens in real life and you face real racism rather than you just recklessly saying racism...then you are leaving a digital footprint of falsely accusing of racism.

You think this servers are so secure, if push comes to shove? It is linked to your email. And most likely your email has your name. You are actively discrediting your OWN reputation.

And this is very easy...all you have to do is say, Sorry and stop repeating the same boring
but serious accusation.

No the fact is I called you an ageist, a xenophobe, and a racist.

When it comes to players that you like you find a convenient excuse to belittle players with Better resumes, whichever one you pick that day.

You can truly be all 3.

When you discredit Chandler's superior performances and prop up Morris' performances against far inferior competition, that's racism.

When you shit on Sargeant not being the best striker in a league that his counterparts that his counterparts are not good enough to play in, thats ageism.

When you take shots at clearly our best CB in the pool bc he's had injury problems, it can be racism and xenophobia.

When you throw out the accomplishments of dual nats or players that play abroad at higher levels for your mls flavor of the month, that is xenophobia.

You have illogical and irrational bias to clearly inferior domestic players bc perhaps you feel it invigorates your white nationalist pride.

I don't think you understand the basic fabric of club or international men's football. You have a dumb fucking theory driven by white nationalist pride that you can pick any scrub off an mls roster and they can "challenge" guys that are already proven at a level that the mls players are not good enough for, simply bc of domestic nationalist pride.

I'd love to talk about football with you, but you are too willfully ignorant of the standards that the rest of the world uses to evaluate players.

Again I ask you to prove me wrong. Look at the WC KO round rosters and compare MLS participation with even mid tier leagues like Argentina, Brazil, Belgium, Portugal, Holland, EFL, Turkey, Russia, Sweden. I'll save you the time, MLS is beneath them all.
