Can we just agree this US team is garbage tier. I can't blame db707 for feeling that way. The team is just shit. Regarding Pulisic, honestly I havent been impressed with his play in the Premier League and for some reason the USA media thinks he's doing great and how good his relationship with Lampard lol heres a news flash its Chelsea and they have only won once.

Outside of Abraham, and maybe Willian, no one at Chelseahas played overly well. CP has been fine in context.

Yea these games really show how badly we need Adams in the middle of the park... and I really need to see Pomykal against Uruguay.

Puli seemed to take on the offensive responsibility and I did like him a lot more as a wide player, he just had nothing to work with given USA played without any attacking CMs and Zardy and Boyd were ghosts...

Judging by GB's comments, it seems like he called Pomykal in just to get experience around the senior team. I'd be a bit surprised if we saw him.

He isn't a better passer than Bradley and worse in possession as we saw when trying to build out of the back. He IS better at ball winning but doesn't look extremely fleet of foot as evidenced by him getting roasted on goal #3. Bradley vs. Morales, like so many USA players, is a six in one, half dozen the other type argument.

Im not saying Bradley does not have his upsides. We have to realize that his better days are behind him and His liabilities outweigh his benefits. I am also saying that Morales is not the answer, the player that should have the role is Tyler Adams. He is, however, hurt so we do need to develop depth. Morales, at his age, is past the development part of his career. We have some players that are just beginning to challenge themselves by moving to Europe, and hopefully other MLS players who have gotten looks with the Nats will realize that they need to push for a move to Europe. Durkin made the jump, who will be nexr?

Tyler Adams will be the guy, but I am excited for Servania's continued development at DM. And I am excited for Christian Cappis continues development at Hobro. I have my reservations about Durkin at the highest level.

So I have calmed down a bit since the game. I remembered that we were missing at least 6 starters and were still experimenting. I am hoping that GB learned that sometimes it's warranted to bunker and counter and play a little hoof ball. When it became clear that is what we needed to do we didn't make that change. I would rather bunker than get beat 3-0 when it probably should have been 5 or 6 to zero.

Lol calmed down. GB is an idiot calling up 17 MLS players

I didn't even watch the game but that's what happens with an MLS National team agenda. Time after Time when you only have players that get scared to attack, back pass, don't chest the ball down and just heave up long balls you get SHIT soccer.

I could name a full roster with 0 MLS players and that's exactly why US Soccer didn't talk to Tata or Mourinho. M

TBH it was the European guys who didn't cut the mustard in this one. I don' think Long had a good game but it was mostly a European starting XI

3/4 MLS backline
Will Trapp in the midfield
Zardes at forward

I'm also not on board with Mckennie. He disappears too much..

As I said Gio Reyna needs to be included already

- Sargent -
Pulisic - Reyna - Boyd
- Holmes - J Sonora -
Robinson - JB - MM - Dest
- keeper -

You could also use Miljevic or Mendez in place of Sonora. Every mother f**** on this XI can attack/possess just like the rest of the world does.

Yep and the guy who got nutmeg-ed for the first goal was dest and the guy who kept distributing the ball right in front of his goal to Mexico was Stephen. Just saying that the European guys were just as (if not more) bad as the MLS guys. Lets not do the MLS vs Europe thing and just say that it was a bad game.

Trapp and Zardes suck. It looks like GB sucks too. For a team that is supposedly trying to win that was a pitiful result. Reyna and Richards should be included and Hines-Ike. I want to protest like Hong Kong if GB selects those two numb nuts again. And I see Dest has potential but he does get toasted. I watched an AJAX game which he disappeared in and later got muscled off the ball. It might be growing pains. He might be a better attacker than defender.

And I am not sold on McKennie either. I do think Schalke might be his problem. I suspect Uruguay might scorch us as well.

Everyone please let's not forget about or give up on Ethan Horvath. He had an excellent season last year and started out this season playing really well. He did nothing wrong and has no control over Brugge bringing in Mignolet. It was a total marketing and PR move by the club and it was very late in the transfer window. There was no reason for him not to be brought into this camp. It must be nice as a player when your club coach becomes the National Team manager.

I don't think Trapp is the answer, I have not been impressed with him at the National team level and don't think he belongs at that level. Zardes had zero service and did a lot of great defensive work vs Mexico. I don't rate Zardes at all but he was not at fault for the Mexico debacle. I really hope that Sargent gets the start VS. Uruguay and that he has surpassed Zardes on the depth chart. I would also like to see some other younger strikers brought in.

oddly enough I did not mind the Berhalters strategy, in fact I liked that we had a plan where we tried to plan something other than bunker and kick the ball up field and run, I have been calling for the US to move to this for yrs.

The issue is the players GB calls in, starts, and his stupid subs that drive me mad.

If you want to play possession why not start: Pomk, and SL, and JS from the beginning

I am not a SL guy but he made a diff when he came in and frankly always plays well for the Nats. Put him next to Mckinnie and push Pomk up the field. Get trapp OFF the field and roster.

Subs:

Leave Boyd on, the guy played well for us, up until he played well, and then GB told him to pull back, which was ridiculous, since then he hasn't looked that great for us but when he pinched in early in mex game he didn't lose the ball with his back to goal-for me his poor play is squarely on GB. Let Boyd play up field play to his strengths

Why are we bringing on Lovitz? what purposes does this fulfill and what has he done to even be mentioned in the top 40. Plus really dumb to pull Destin let him get extra mins-let him get beat, let him learn about that environment for 90mins. Who cares if Destin got beat, he is 18 this I want him to get beat now -he will remember that in qualifying.

Trapp and Zartes have no place on the team

Morales i thought played well-he is not a savior but certainly shows he could have been used more the last 2 yrs . he should have played Trapps position and then we could have played SL and McKinnie or Pomk-then you would have had guys who could handle the ball and pressure and at least given a chance to build out of the back

Other thoughts:

Ill take Robinson over Zimmerman not sure why Z man started.

Sure Steffan didn't play great but it wasn't as bad as people are making it out to be. Yes Horvath should be called in as well.

Overall I am willing to accept losses like these when there is a clear plan to plan to play forward futbol. But I am only willing to support that if you select the correct players and that means being willing to try younger, untested players-I don't care if its mls or overseas guys.

Green should have been called in. Play Pomk, why not call in Reyna and evaluate where is at-you can not keep calling in guys just bc you knew them at your club-

Play Sergino at RB and try Lima or Cannon at LB - experiment bc we are running out of time until qual starts here is my 11 for next match

Sarg

Morris -SL - Pomk - Boyd

Yueill

Lima- Long - Robinson - Sergino
