I'd like to see the European based guys against Mexico and then say for the Uruguay game so they can return to their clubs and stay involved. The Uruguay game should be mls based. Every time we do these friendlies, the euro based guys get screwed because usually with the jet lag the coaches take them out of the lineup for at least one game. Our guys like Sargent and Pulisic don't need that with their club situations. Do the right thing Gregg.

I agree, but with Euro 2020 qualifying on those dates scheduling against anyone from Europe was always going to be very tough. We at least scheduled two games against good opposition.

I would rather see Holmes in lieu of Hyndman.... Part of me would call in Reyna in lieu of Nova just to see where his current level is. His ceiling is so much higher than Nova.

@whyneverme Why not Holmes, Polster, or Morales for Bradley?
Also Reyna is an attacking mid and Nova is a 9.
If you're trying to replace low potential 9s for high potential 9s, wouldn't it make more sense to replace the 29 yr old mls player for the 22 yr old championship player who has improved a level every yr for the past 3 yrs?

GK: Steffen, Horvath, idc
D: Dest, Yedlin, Moore (Cannon), Robinson, Brooks, Miazga, Long, EPB
M: Adams, Mckennie, Holmes, Pomykal, Morales, Polster
A: CP, Sarg, Weah, Wood, Nova, Boyd, Reyna

On the bubble:
Gutman
Shelton
CCV
Gloster
Soto
Hyndman
Parks
Gyau

M-Adams, McKennie, Pomykal, Bradley, Reyna, Scott

A- Pulisic, Weah, Sergeant, Holmes, Hyndman, Boyd, Nova

Nothing wrong with Brooks but let him focus on his club and health. And let Miazga focus on club. Reyna and Scott may not see the field but give them the experience they need.

Where is your boy Joel Sonora? What about his brother? No Danny Williams? I guess given that he doesn't have a club still he doesn't meet seemingly your most important criterion of being on the books in Europe.

Im not committed to any player. I just want to see the most talented players playing at the highest levels play.

Joel and his bro are on the bubble for me. After putting that list together our attacking mids and fwd group is pretty deep actually.

If D Will was a regular player in Bunde 2 with Damstadt, he'd be in the 24 for me. I still believe he has a lot to offer in cdm in a reserve capacity.
I'm not married to Polster or Morales.

To be clear, my criteria again is 21 or younger for MLS players, 1st team or rotating regular player for Euro or South American League as good as MLS.
With the information I have, Championship is clearly better than MLS and Bundesliga 2 is arguably slightly better.

I also have a hunch, Gio will be a regular rotational player for BD. They seem to love his size and athleticism.

If healthy I don't see how Holmes and Lletget don't make the squad since they are ahead of guys like Roldan, Mihailovic, Pomykal, Hyndman. I don't object to the others being called in or called for I just don't see the need for them. Or for Bradley, Jozy... we know what they can do. The are only so many chances to see and integrate other players before World Cup qualifying next year.

So basically what you're saying is that you have no real standard and just go with a bunch of names of people who are in Euorpe who you may or may not have ever watched play. The fact that you've argued continuously for William's and then left him off is telling. As a matter of fact, that could be a bit racist...

Where is Keaton Parks and Romain Gall? I thought we didnt have 24 players better than them. And is Boyd, Tyler Boyd or Terrence? Because we all know that Terrence is better than Jozy... while being Jozy's backups backup in Toronto.

And we're going to go with Moore now?? Wow... I guess the Spanish 3rd division (where he was playing last year) has a real high standard of play...

What I think we'll see in Sept. will be a lot different than what I would like to see. What I hope is that Berhalter will recognize that these 2 games are a perfect opportunity to get the "Core" of the team minutes while exploring more of the emerging options.

Who I'd Like to see called up:
Keeper: Steffen, Horvath, TBD
Defense: Brooks, Long, Miazga, Zimmerman, Yedlin, Cannon, Dest, Robonson,
Midfield: McKennie, Adams, Pomykal, Holmes
Attackers: Pulisic, Boyd, Weah, Sargent

The last 5 spots can either be used to encourage a young player or to add a bit of veteran presence. Guys like:
EPB, CCV, Bradley, Arriola, Jozy, Hyndman, Soto, Lima, Scott, etc...

Unfortunately i'm fairly certain that GB will include:
Ream, Lovitz, Trapp, Zardes, Roldan, Omar,
