Absolutely filthy. He probably needs to continue securing his first team spot with Dortmund over the next FIFA date, but I can't imagine there are many guys in the pool that could have pulled that off.

Arriola could have...but he would have meant it to be a cross

But we have Roldan so it's meaningless to Berhalter

Basically a perfect strike, great to see the kid developing and getting playing time.

I have always felt that Gio reminds me of KAKA. The way he can glide be players on the dribble and the way he finished today was very KAKA like. Hopefully Gio has a very healthy career!

Played 45 minutes today against Leverkusen. Not sure if Brandt picked up a knock, but it was interesting that they gave him that much run against a good team.

Cost his team a goal with an unnecessary foul, hit the woodwork on a shot. He did well but still learning.

I felt he disappeared through his time in the second half. Possibly due to the goal being disallowed. You saw the celebration of the next goal. He was one of the last two join. Could've been the mental let down of it. But I felt needs to do more to merit staying with first team. But he is young and needs time to adapt.

The fact that at 17 he's seeing real minutes for a club still within striking distance of the title is fantastic. Is he going to make some mistakes...Yes. Is he going to disappear at times...Yes. But as long as he learns from his mistakes and grows as a player he'll continue to get opportunities.
Right now he probably should remain a late game sub (last 15 minutes), but within a year he'll be rotational starter. Within 2 yrs he'll likely be a starter for BvB, and will still only be 20 yrs old.

Watching the USMNT over next 8-10 yrs with a midfield containing the likes of Pulisic, Adams, McKennie, & Reyna is going to be fun to watch. Hopefully Sargent grows into the CF we all hope he does....because our wide players should be capable of creating a good number of opportunities.

Haaland is next level at the moment.

Reyna getting minutes in this game is enormous. I'd suspect he's next in line if/when Sancho is sold (hopefully it isn't to Chelski).

The USSF needs to pay Dortmund for blessing us Pulisic and Reyna
