He still had a lot to do on the goal. However you feel on Mendys effort he still had to place that shot past Ederson who's no slouch especially coming off his line

Excited to see what his stats are at the day of the season. So far he has had a good first season with Chelsea especially considering his injury. Proper off season training will hopefully keep him injury free next season.

Man is he on a tear. So far, has drawn a penalty (converted by Willian) and a dangerous freak kick (also converted by Willian), and come close on 3-4 more occasions. Has gone stretches today where he has been the best player on the field.

That goal on his weaker foot was a thing of beauty. Fired it past Guaita with a lot of power. 3 goals of quality since the restart.

It's good to see an American dominate! All now is he has to learn to stay healthy.

Pulisic with the game winning assist to Giroud. It looks like Giroud has taken Pulisic under his wing. Which I think is a great thing.

He had a solid, but spectacular game. The entire Chelsea attack was fairly pedestrian and lacked urgency. He did just miss a golazo due to a nice save from Krul.

With what Pulisic has been doing it's mind numbing to me that his teammates still don't look for him as the go to player regularly.

He was a little dinged up.

The goal is absurd but the dribbling against TAA and Joe Gomez for the assist to Abraham is what makes him so dynamic. Think we all knew that his finishing was the final test and since the restart he's passed with flying colors

he has looked so good. he has clearly gained the trust of his teammates more and more the last couple of games they now are looking to get him the ball even a couple games ago he was looked off by teammates several times and was a 3rd option good to see him gaining global respect

It seems he has clearly surpassed Mason Mount and Hudson- Odoi. They will be an exciting team to much with the addition of the Ajax striker and Timo Werner. I think Hudson Odoi will regain his confidence. But it will be a very competitive team to see and I think they will lose Kapa, who has been terrible. It would be nice to see this team live.

Yes, but there is a definite managerial bias for Mount and if it comes down to a decision between selecting CP or MM in a key game, Lampard will choose MM to start.

Lampard had him at Derby County last year as well. His two top assistants have managed Mount in the Chelsea youth setup. For CP to win out, he has to be miles ahead of MM.

I spend some time reading the Chelsea FC forums when they are playing live. It gives me a much better feel for the game than the match center I have open on Goal.com. I work on weekends and can't watch the games. Anyway, the Chelsea fans believe that Pulisic is their best player and it's pretty much everyone. Most fans didn't rate him when he first arrived, . . . but now, wow. I am guessing Lampard understands who his best player is. I personally think the Lampard is just being careful with Pulisic since he gets hurt a lot. He held him out of the Arsenal game because they were most likely going to lose anyway and why risk him? The fans hated it but I thought it was the right move.
