Haha being realistic is the opposite of what this guy does. And don't try to argue with facts or objectivity...

And mind you, Scotland is a weaker league than MLS... and the goal he had for PSG was a total nightmare from the keeper.

I'll agree that Weah seems to have more potential than Morris and can be a better player in time... but right now he just hasn't done enough to demonstrate that hes better. Especially considering the season Morris just had and that Weah is currently injured on the shelf.

I think he has been better about how he states things, it's ok to say he feels Weah is better than Morris if that's his opinion. Weah may prove it but hasn't yet in my opnion. The SPL may be a weaker league in General than MLS but Celtic are most likely better than any MLS team or most MLS teams. I think that strength of League should factor into national team call ups but while Weah has been on two strong teams he has yet to prove anything with them, he is still just a young guy with potential. I still think Morris is the starter until a better option is available.

Personally both players (Pulisic & Morris) have an equal claim to the best player for the calendar year.
Pulisic was hampered at the club level for the first half of the year do to BvB wanting to insure his health as part of the sale to Chelsea. But over the Gold Cup I'd argue he was better than Morris...and he hit a wonderful stride at Chelsea just before the voting.
Morris over the course of the year performed better for his club, but it was at a significantly lower level of competition than Pulisic. And performed slightly below Pulisic with the USMNT except for the November games when Pulisic stayed in England.

As for some of the other posts on here where people are discounting Morris completely for Weah (or others). I agree that in the future Morris will/should be replaced by Weah, Reyna, Llaynez, etc... But if picking a player for a Must Win game today/next month than I'd pick Morris. Weah's been sidelined with injury for too long, and has yet to be a consistent player on a 1st team. Reyna & Llaynez have yet to feature for their clubs' 1st team, and until they do should not be in the conversation for a starting role on the USMNT. Thankfully there's 3 months before next "A" Team friendly, so if Weah returns to health and sees consistent minutes in January he should have a chance to challenge Morris head-to-head in the March friendlies camp.

Well he has looked tired and a little jaded the last few weeks, so a rest was in order.

Chelsea have 3 league matches in the next 8 days, so I am sure he will play.

Ya, not reading anything into it at this point. Chelsea has played a LOT lately.

Yeah, with the fixture congestion hopefully it's not an issue. He'll need to be more consistent in the opportunities he does get going forward though.

He has been one of Chelski's most consistent performers all year.

I'd disagree with that, he started slow, wasn't getting much time, hasn't produced much recently. But yes, the rest of the team has also had consistency issues.

Well he has been hit or miss in the EPL but has done well overall in the CL.

Worrying thing is papers have it that Chelsea are winning the race to sign Sancho.

I read the forums for Chelsea FC and even when the fans there think the team is shit they generally approve of Pulisic's performances. He has been leggy lately and I am sure that is why Lampard rested him. The only thing that worries me a bit is that he has chosen to rest him when they play the better clubs like Man U or Tottenham and play him vs weaker clubs.

Yes, was not the case early on on the Chelsea forums though. He has earned their praise.

I think tactically in the "big" domestic matches Lampard defers to Mason Mount because he offers more on the press and has a little more bite to his game. If Chelsea were chasing the match I am pretty sure he would have brought on CP.

Pulsic out of the 18 today. Hamstring twinge left out as a precaution.

That's my concern with Pulisic. He seems to get these little hamstring injuries pretty often. Hi

Pulisic is back in the starting lineup today. He'll only get 10 days to rest up for the 2nd half. I hope he is truly healed from his injuries.

Be careful what you wish for...if Chelsea do end up buying Sancho then he may get more rest than we want him to.
