I would definitely like to see him score more goals where he is actually creating his on shot. But he is on a good run of form.

CP just couldn't put it in the back of the net. But he looked good despite getting knocked around a bit.

Pulisic was named US player of the year. He's clearly our most talented player by a huge margin but I can't objectively make a case for Pulisic over Jordan Morris for player of the year.

I really hope that Morris goes to Europe once his current contract runs out. I want to say Pulisic because he plays with and at a much higher level, but Morris has contributed a lot to both his club team and the USMNT. I am ok with either.

I will start by saying that I am not sure that Jordan Morris is a starter for the MNT if we evolve into a competitive team.

That said he scored 13 goals and had 8 assists while winning MLS Cup with Seattle and coupled that with 5 goals and 7 assists for the MNT. The only justification for not giving Morris the Player of the Year award is if we ignore the "of the Year" requirement.

I don't see what he does better than Weah, Llaynez, KDF other than being bigger and older.

I think he is the starter now until someone better steps up. I hope either someone better steps up or Morris elevates his game.

So Weah has scored 3 goals for Celtic and 1 for PSG, not sure how you can think he is better than Morris yet. I think Weah passes the eye test and has the potential to be better than Morris but he is not there yet. Llavnez has 2 goals for a USL team (Galaxy II) and has yet to score for Wolfsburgs U-19 team. Come on man, be realistic.

Llanez is leading the Bundesliga U19s in scoring rate lol.
What are you talking about?

Didn't mention Reyna who was on the bench for Borussia Dortmund last wk at 17.

I can think Weah is better than Morris bc he's played on better clubs than Morris has and scored against better competition. Not to mention looking like he's better at every aspect of playing the game.

Haha being realistic is the opposite of what this guy does. And don't try to argue with facts or objectivity...

And mind you, Scotland is a weaker league than MLS... and the goal he had for PSG was a total nightmare from the keeper.

I'll agree that Weah seems to have more potential than Morris and can be a better player in time... but right now he just hasn't done enough to demonstrate that hes better. Especially considering the season Morris just had and that Weah is currently injured on the shelf.

Its tough to watch Weah and his progression when hes been injured and hasn't played all season...

Do you have access to some behind the scenes practice highlights that none of us are aware of?

Ully Llaynez has 10 goals and 3 assts in 11 games for Wolfsburg 19s. So yea @kamp you were completely misinformed.
@lils Did you know that or you choose to ignore it?

According to @lils MLS is the 20th best league in the world and Morris is 25. Although we love MLS and respect the quality of Concacaf as well as appreciate Morris' dog and pretty blue eyes, Morris has never played on a team as good as Celtic and has never even been scouted by a team as good as PSG or Lille. So according to ppl with more credible opinions who have accomplished more in the game,, Weah when healthy is better at playing soccer right now than Morris.

Good for Llaynez, yes I was completely misinformed. Well he deserves a look but playing for U-19 is not the same as being a starter for an adult professional team.

What you say is true. I do think that Weah's better leagues etc should be a factor for sure, but 4 goals total in his professional career (for 1st teams not youth teams) is not enough to say he should be the starter. I am looking forward to seeing what Weah could do with a whole season uninjured and as a starter. Morris is really starting to get back to what we hoped he would be now that he is uninjured, I hope Weah can do the same.
