He looked to be in poor form. not correct weight on passes, not taking guys on like usual. Not sure what his family issue was but I am guessing he may have come back to the states for a few days. Prob jet lagged and all that.

He definitely misplaced some passes that could have opened up some chances and that weren't overly difficult. But Chelsea as a whole were poor. Barnsley bossed the game in the first half.

It's seems that Puli has been relegated to cup matches and sub role under his old manager. He was the best player on the team under Frank Lampard and now he sits the bench. Sadly they are winning so Puli is now a very expensive sub.

I saw something a few days ago where the fans put out their preferred XI's vs opponents. Might've been on reddit, I forget.

Pulisic was only at 30% (rating)

He needs to start scoring again... plain and simple

I think he needs to keep his role reduced at the moment. Low impact, get his fitness up, and be healthy for the USA for once. I've been glad Tyler Adams hasn't been overused as well. When Pulisic had just gotten back lampard played him 90' a bunch of games in a row and I don't think that was the best for him. It's sucked watching Weah have to be integrated slowly but Gaultier has done the right thing by him in the long run. I'm hoping for the same from Tuchel in regards to Pulisic (this is the coach who gave him his big break I know he trusts him).

I agree the time off is probally good hopefully he can get fully fit and stay injury free, less miles will help. Tuchel said yesterday CP deserves to start so I think CP will be fine and am somewhat happy he is getting a little rest.

If CHO or Ziyech or even Havertz finds form while CP is on reduced minutes, it could be a problem. Thus far, however, most everyone in the attack has been toothless, even if they have grinder out some results. Until someone starts putting the ball in the net, I think there will be constant rotation.

This is how it is at the top.

Until Pulisic can play week in week out (in a normal season not this jam packed covid schedule) this is how it will be for him. Many of our top players from JOB to Jozy couldn't stay healthy. It's very important Christian stay healthy and have a long career. Of course he can always appear for USA and work some magic but for him to be the leader of the USA squad he has to do it on the field. Too many times he's been unavailable.
