Richards blew me away. I knew was highly touted, but his decision making is so incredibly solid for his age at CB. He's ridiculously smooth...reads things and shuts down potential situations before they happen...awareness and anticipation... makes it look easy...you hardly notice he's in the game.

Gloster was really solid in a position of dire need. I liked his awareness and 1 v1 ability...his play up field was a pleasant surprise...his lung busting 50 yard drive on his assist was Soto was an eye opener. He can handle the defensive side very well...very mature and poised.

People always rave about the Dutch league and their ability to develop attacking players. Richy Ledezma at PSV I think really has a chance to make a big leap as we move forward.

I ask people to really think back at a USA midfielder who can drive at the defense at speed like he did against France to then drop a dime of a thru pass for Soto to be one on one and score.... I mean that's a play that has me wanting to see more as time goes on.

The thing about it is Ledezma isn't just offense but he's a pest on the defensive end for a #10 type player. I think he has qualities that stand out amongst his peers even on the full national team.

Ledezma will get first team minutes. The hope is he stays healthy. And everyone should be excited about him.

Aside from the free kicks I was more impressed with what Ledezma did in around 60 minutes against France than anything Mendez did.

I can tell Mendez is gonna be a kid that will infuriate and then immediately impress. If he works on his defense he can be a solid contributor. His passing and movement were very impressive.

This group was my favorite. Right above the 2015 group. You can tell we have some ballers on this squad.

Pomykal Richards Weah and possibly Gloster all could become important guys in the next few years.

Ledezma is on all our radars. Psv seems to really like him. Dest too after the Ukraine game he played his heart out.

Every level there's potential. I guess you could say that with every squad but this team felt different. It's all made up of kids fighting in Europe or getting consistent minutes in MLS save for Rennicks who New England basically had to have their arms twisted behind their backs before signing him.

Another thing is that I believe I heard the US was the youngest team in this tournament. Which makes their run even more impressive.

Looks like Hummels is headed back to Dortmund. Will Richards be apart of Munich's first team plans?

i think Richards has a chance to play a few games here or there but just like how Tim Weah has to go to Lille, part of me thinks/hopes a loan to a smaller bundesliga or 2bund team is the plan, sort of like CCV has been doing. Defenders don't peak until after attackers normally and with the pressure Bayern is under at the moment to return to greatness in the champions league I just don't see it next year.
