So Brad Friedel questioned the mentality of MLS players because of a lack of pressure.

Personally I never needed external pressure to keep me motivated. I always wanted to win and pushed as hard as I was able in practice and during games. There are some people who need external motivators to keep them sharp.

Personally I think that Friedel has not been a great coach for New England and is trying to deflect attention away from himself with smoke and mirrors. He made the choice to coach in MLS without pro/reg. He plays vs other MLS teams who seem plenty motivated enough to beat New England.

Yeah - were not too thrilled with him up in New England at the moment...

Both can be true. New England is a dumpster fire of an organization but I also think Friedel has a point. I'm a fan of the MLS but a lot of that is true. Friedel however probably wasn't a great choice to begin with for New England, but I'm not sure anyone coaches this team to a success.

Friedel has played nearly 500 games in England's top division, as well as quite a few for MLS, and USA. I'll take his word for it.

He probably chose MLS to build his resume.

We literally have a losing MLS coach as USMNT manager right now, so I don't know what that says about our credibility or Friedel's inability to manage.
