Mobi Fehr has signed with MLS, and will enter the draft. Would like to see him go to Seattle. Mobi Fehr was the U.S. U-17's starting LCB in last years U-17 WC. He can play either DM or CB.

Great news. I really like Mobi. It's such a great investment in the future of the league when young players like him sign with MLS.

Great news for MLS, they really get that youth matters and have done a great job keeping some top notch guys around. Hoping teams follow suit with more investments in the academies.

Is Fehr in the draft with college players or will they have a separate draft/lottery like they had for Gil?

Fehr has been added by the Portland Timbers through the weighted lottery.

This is a great move for fehr and mls but he has to get first team minutes. Cause he wont develop much if hes not getting games.

I highly doubt as a 17 year old he gets first team minutes. Just like if he went to Europe he wouldnt get first team minutes either. He's there to practice. Play some US Cup matches. Learn from Caleb.

Yeah, I agree but who's to say Porter has something else in mind. If he proves his ability...

Tough break for Mobi. Was released when Portland signed Alvas Powell, the Jamaican 18 year old who is already playing for their national team. Its sad that a Jamaican U18 guy booted a promising US U17 guy from the MLS
