I thought he looked like the best player for us as well, don't tell Bjelks know that he plays in MLS.

I thought everybody was terrible.

Reyna looked timid and lost.

Outside of the goal Busio was nonexistent.

I don't know if these were coach instructions, but there was no bite or ambition in the midfield.
I didn't see one attempt to turn while pressured.
I didn't see one hard challenge in midfield either.

I have nothing positive to say about anyone from that game

Maybe they are all trying to learn Berhalter's system across all age groups and it's silly of us to ask for it to be a finished product when like all they're doing is playing in a bunch of like totally unimportant games IN A FREAKING WORLD CUP?!!!!?!!!!?!?!?!???!?!?!?!?!?

They made a lot of lineup changes, even dropping Gio Reyna.

Some changes... Scally and Pepi were pretty terrible too... surprised they kept their spot.

They looked better against a pretty solid Japan side and tied 0-0 with Japan having the better of the chances and the USA GK had two really big saves but USA created a few chances of their own and defended much better as a unit.

They will need to do tie or beat the Netherlands to either advance as a second place team or possibly get through as one of the third place teams.

I assume 4/6 of the 3rd place finishers go, so a win almost certainly gets them through.

This team isn't good. You may get 2 or 3 at most who makes the move up the ranks.

I choose to not watch the game. Are you sure there are even 2 who could rise?

Reyna, Bello, Odunze and Pepi are the players I would say will move up. Mayo is another player and possibly Hernandez-Foster as a LB.

Wheesh poor defending again. Also take out Busio who hasn't done anything and put Ocampo-Chavez in at striker and move Reyna to the 10.

This team reminds me of the 2015 u17 team with Pulisic. That team wasn't very cohesive and good either.

Down 2-0. Bye bye US. What a horrible showing at this tournament. I don't know what Wicky is doing with these kids, but they clearly are not good enough. Literally when you are playing slow ticky tacky soccer in every game it's clear that that is a coaching decision. Crazy to think this u17 team has the most professional players getting pro minutes ever and they look like they can't compete at all. This tells me that we still have a long ways to go with our USL teams and MLS B teams being able to develop players.

They better do a better job at identifying better talent in the next cycle. The lack of scouts US soccer is willing to pay is starting to look like a huge oversight and lack of ignorance. Why wouldn't you be scouting everywhere in this country to discover hidden gems?

This was embarrassing, when you consistently giving up 4 goals a game, you have a major problem. They played with zero sense of urgency! WTF is up with US national teams lately.? Yes I would rather have a bunch of no talent TRY HARDS than these pro players who could give a rats ass!
