MLS won't win this competition until the salary cap becomes more significant for the league. Shit the Salary cap is still under 5 million. The next CBA should focus on increasing the cap to around 7 million and add another DP.

Agreed,

However already this season homegrown players have gotten more minutes and scored more goals and assist than any other year and were what, 5 games in. The current homegrown crop are mostly starting too. Two of them looked like the best player on the pitch. I think we have arrived to the point were we can expect a crop of homegrown starters every season. That kid Pomykal has off the chart skills, we have several others in the pipe line. It really is an exciting time for US Soccer.

Hmm. When skilled domestic talent leaves it's a bit hard to replace that all of the time. Just saying.

Someone made the point on Mlssoccer.com (probably bjelks) on how we need to stop using a majority of the MLS players for the National team.

I've been saying this forever. MLS is the NBA D-league
