Let's get LD in then. Since he will probably be fit and is quicker than Green. Last game green played was slower than slow :/ no thanks.

so if 1 bad game is the standard we should just give up and not have a Nats.

But Ill bite, who are you penciling in out wide and who is in your 23

Green has a skill set that GB needs for his system to work, not saying he is auto starter but he certainly deserves looks,

other than CP who are you putting wide left or wide right?

Holmes and Pulisic on the wing. You could even say Arriola deserves more looks. And I would put Lletget over Green on the wing. Green has good quality about him at times, but he isn't someone I am really seeing as an option this summer. Lewis deserves more looks and Morris is healthy again.

Holmes plays as a 10 for DC.
Before Lewis and Arriola, we need to see Gall, Gooch, and Amon.
I don't know what anyone sees in Morris.

I certainly want to see Holmes but in a central role, same as lletget. the good news is that we are starting to get depth centrally not so much out wide. I just do not rate arriola, he has good qualities he runs fast, hustles, helps out on d, but his touch is horrible and he doesn't cross well. would rather see gooch get a run. And I would take Lewis over Morris until we see what Morris looks like now.

absolutely the guy can trap the ball and pass, we need guys like that-he plays good for us when he is on the field most of the time. and GB likes guys who are versatile, green although not his best position can play LM and do so with creating width or come inside to shoot, he can play up top or right underneath strikers.

We already have players that can trap the ball and pass ie. Pulisic, and Green already had his shot. He doesn't show any signs of improving so I think we should give some other young player with a lot of potential a chance instead of having another detrimental MB in the lineup.

I would take Johnathan Lewis instead. He has great pace and a lot of talent. He came in as a sub in both games and had an assist in each. Younger and quicker than Arriola or LLetget.

How do you leapfrog John Lewis over someone thats playing in the Europa League knockout stage and scoring every other game in his league (Gall) and someone leading his team to Championship promotion (Gooch) with EPL experience who is a yr older?

Out wide today? Holmes and Pulisic. Or Rubin. I mean Green has had multiple chances and has not shown well. He can do more of a central role.. he has technical abilities, that he does. But not out wide for me. Id take him over Mihailovic though. That's for sure.

I like holmes hope to see him. Green has played well, he didn't look good his last game but he shouldnt be excluded bc of that. Bradley, jozy, etc have been crap for awhile and they still get called in.

Im not saying he is a starter but he should be called in, I don't like him out wide either, I prefer green underneath the forwards. but what I am saying is it would be interesting to see him and CP in GB system bc. they could switch from central to out wide.

For the most part the Attacking roles are wide open, especially considering our new coach and formation(s). The only attacker who's a lock at this point is Pulisic....Everything else is an open competition that will likely evolve over the course of the cycle as our younger players develop and gain experience.

Strikers:
Wood, Jozy, Sargent, Zardes, Nova, Ramirez, Dwyer, etc....

Attacking Midfielders:
Pulisic, Weah, Saief, Holmes, Green, Gooch, Gall, Arriola, Amon, Mihailovic, Hyndman, Parks, De La Torre, Scott, Sonora, Taitague, Carleton, Nagbe, Lletget, Gaines, Lewis, etc...

Players, especially young ones, go through slumps and will experience growing pains. We've got some players, like Lleget, entering into their prime at the beginning of the cycle; and we've got some players who are just now emerging as professionals, like Amon.
We may start the cycle with Green, Saief, Arriola, Lletget, Nagbe etc...; but end the cycle with Mihailovic, Taitague, De La Torre, & Carleton. It's going to be a fluid situation this cycle.

@johnlewis- at a similar age, Arriola had already played like 4 pro seasons for Tijuana. Aside from taking players on 1 v 1 to put in a cross (not shoot)- there isn't a single thing Lewis does better than Arriola. Arriola score better and more and can with both feet and his head, makes better runs in behind, combines better in give and gos with teammates, uses space to create passing triangles and angles for the pass, and defends better than Lewis. That's why. Lewis doesn't even start for NYCFC. Lletget is not a winger.

Actually he has played more wide not centrally.

Oh the Morris who won the Gold Cup for us in 2017? That Morris. The kid who drove Seattle to a championship when Dempsey went out that season? The Morris who scored 15 goals in his Rookie season? Yeah Morris has qualities no other player has. His will to win is extremely strong. He puts himself in good positions to score oh and he has pace to burn.

Gall has some good qualities, hopefully we get to see him.

We have seen Amon.

In 2017, Mexico's first team was at Confed cup and Morris had a shit ton of easy chances, he missed a lot and had a lot of bad touches against low level competition.
There's nothing Morris did or is capable of that no one on our U-20s can't do.
I need to see him make a first team in Bundesliga or score some goals in Holland before I put him above Sarg, Wood, Haji, Nova, Weah.

I know we love Lttetget because he's an all American MLS player, but can he do this?
