What? Your talking out your rear end again! How do you know what GB's preferred 11 is?

With this being the first window for Greg to call from the full pool and Greg's commitment to system fits, I would have to conclude that Greg's preferred best 11 at the moment is some combination of who started these games.
Perhaps excluding Jozy, who I don't believe moved the needle much

We obviously don't know who his preferred 11 is, but I think that applies equally to folks arguing that this was a "watered down" team against Chile. Sure, Adams and McKinnie are no brainers (JAB probably is, but I'm not totally sure), and they both missed the entire game. But outside of maybe Omar, I think most everyone else has as good as shot as any to be in the starting 11.

@lilshmike where you at? I'm at Woodrow's across from the stadium.
I got a round of brews for you

Lmao! Y'all ever meet ?

@ lilshmike meant to respond but yeah bro, I'm Irish so Jameson shots on me all day long. I'd even buy Tylercocina a shot to get him out from lurking in the shadows.

Hahaha naw, I didn't really go to the game. I've actually never even been to Houston.

Been to Austin though. Great brisket.

It was a watered down team for sure. GB is still testing out players and we still have guys injured that have yet to be brought in. For example everyone seems to think the Zardes is the number 1 striker. I believe he solidified at 2 or 3 position and that GB has others in mind for #1. I still think Jozy is our#1 until some of these young guys can step up. I also see Arriola as a backup winger, yes he started in these friendlies but I don't believe GB has him penned in as #1. I think more that 1/2 these guys are not going to be our #1s. This is just my opinion from things that GB has said. I guess time will tell.

I think Arriola is a starter. There is zero good wing options right now.

How can we say we have no Better wing options that Arriola when we haven't seen Holmes, Sonora, Gall, Gooch, Lankford, Tyler Boyd?

Honestly whether you start Zardes or Jozy, it makes no difference. Jozy hasn't been a good player in 6 yrs.

And who do you all think that wasn't in this camp Greg views as best 11?

These things are constantly evolving. Whatever preferred 11 we think might be the case now will be drastically different in the Gold Cup and different still in November.

So true, also GB said to expect 3-5 new faces every camp. looking forward to some of these young up and coming players getting looks.

Yet again it's hard to say those players are better than Arriola. Lankford plays sometimes on a Bundesliga 2 team, Gall is in and out of the starting 11 for Malmo, Lynden Gooch plays in League 1, Sonora hasn't established anything with a Talleres and doesn't really play winger, Holmes has a good case, and Tyler Boyd would be a good callup.
