Blasphemy.

How could you imply that someone may actually be a starter over the anointed one, Josh Sargent?

As long as its not Jozy I would be fine with either. To me Weah is not a winger either. I would like to figure out a way no pun intended to get Sargent and Weah on at the same time.

And 2tone I agree we really need to see Holmes.

@Dave - I like it, but I would tweak it slightly.

Steffen
Brooks, Long, Miazga
Holmes, Adams, McKennie, Robinson
Weah, Wood/Sargent, Pulisic

I guess the biggest difference is Holmes as a wingback in place of Yedlin. He has proven his versatility so I do not think it would be a challenge for him.

Weah and Pulisic will be the attacking focus and have free-ish roles as inside forwards playing off of the main striker. This would free up Robinson and Holmes to join the attack.

I haven't been overly impressed with Long. He's seemed solid in the MLS games I've seen him play, but he appeared to be the weaker of the 2 CBs this past camp. Maybe it was who was playing LB, maybe he's trying to adapt to Berhalter or International play. But I'd put him behind Zimmerman & even his teammate Parker.

I gave CCV the nod in my line-up due to his distribution ability. If all 3 of the back-line are able to pass quickly and distribute accurately there should be more options and space for the players further up the field.

Because when they've both played Sargent has always been better. Vision and passing are better, as is his finishing. If we want to get both on the field play a 3-5-2 with Pulisic underneath them, McKennie and Adams underneath Pulisic.

I'll also throw a name out it's also probably too early for March but I'll throw out Matt Polster as a guy who can play the "Lima" role. Talented player, healthy now. Maybe he gets into the Rangers team because at his peak he was a good player in the midfield and backline. The role would be suited for him he's a smart player.

Weah did have a good performance on the wing today for Celtic. We shall see what his best position still is. Personally I see Weah with the u20's this summer.

A lineup that might be fun:

4-1-4-1

---Sargent
????-McKennie-Pulisic-Lleget
----Adams
Robinson-Miazga-Brooks-Yedlin

I chose this lineup because we don't have anyone who can play as a #10. My concern is Amon is too much of a defensive liability right now to start him and he wasn't even that impressive offensively yet. Maybe Gooch, maybe Weah, etc.

I think I want to see this:

I don't think Miazga is a certain starter. And Brooks needs a destroyer next to him.

-Sargent-
Pulisic-Lletget-Holmes
-McKennie-Adams-
Robinson-Brooks-Z-Man-Yedlin
-Steffen-

Subs: Horvath, Long, Miazga, Lima, Mihailovic, Bradley, Amon, Weah, Zardes, Lewis, Wood

All three players under Sargent are very smart, athletic and take defenders on. All three can intetchange positions and attack at different speeds and angles. All three are very good passers, and make defenders back up. It would be fun to watch these three work together under Sargent.

Not bad, you could add green on the left or frankly as the 10. He could interchange with CP. At this point we need to have our core group on the field. It would be great to have Sargent and CP and Weah on field, I was skeptical of Weah but he is hot right now granted not it the toughest league but if he keeps on producing it will help his conf with the Nats.

Really hope we see some sort of mix : Sargent, CP, Adams, Mckenzie
with guys like Lleget, Green, Weah, Holmes

We need to figure out the back line. Brooks is weird world class at times and horrible at others, he is often hurt. MM has been solid despite limited club playing time but he needs to start getting playing time. Lima looks great but to be fair he has played against minnows (but want him to get more looks) Robinson I really like but obviously he needs game exp but frankly he is the best option. CCV for me has not really impressed. I would rather see EPB or some other young CB called in.

For once we are starting to have guys in a forward position whom can create with and without the ball, hopefully GB continues his good coaching start and keeps making the right moves.

We DO NOT need to see: trapp, Roldon, Zardes or Marky, and frankly we do not need bradley at this point.

absolutely the guy can trap the ball and pass, we need guys like that-he plays good for us when he is on the field most of the time. and GB likes guys who are versatile, green although not his best position can play LM and do so with creating width or come inside to shoot, he can play up top or right underneath strikers.

Green has a skill set that GB needs for his system to work, not saying he is auto starter but he certainly deserves looks,

other than CP who are you putting wide left or wide right?

Let's get LD in then. Since he will probably be fit and is quicker than Green. Last game green played was slower than slow :/ no thanks.

Does Holmes play on the wing or centrally at his club?

The guy I really want to see is Holmes...imo, more well rounded and possibly a better fit right now for GB than Weah.

I'd also like to see GB get Sargent, Wood and Puli on at the same time at some point.
