After looking at the list of US players abroad, there doesn't seem to be a lot of left back and left mid options. Does anyone know of any young developing players in these positions that play abroad who would fill these roles?

As far as LB, I'm interested in George Bello.
LM, I'm interested in Holmes, Amon, Tyler Boyd.

I will bet money you've never seen Tyler Boyd (a 24 year old dual national (New Zealand-US) on loan from Vitoria de Guimaraes with MKE Ankaragücü, a relegation zone fodder club in Turkey) play. And his team is technically located in Asia, you can't overrate him because he doesn't "play in Europe." And he isn't a left-side midfielder, from everything I read.

I assume you are speaking about purely left footed players? And what formation would you be playing?

Thanks for starting this thread. This discussion actually makes sense to have.
Jeremy Toljan, LB - dual national in Germany, could represent us, would be an immediate starting LB, but we would have to kidnap his GF and hold her ransom in order to convince him to play for us because hes apparently not keen on representing the USA
Fabian Johnson, LM/LB/RB - don't forget, he's still around
Jonathan Amon, LM - pacey, plays in Denmark
Kenny Saief, LM - plays in Belguim
Tim Weah, LM/RM/ST - on loan at Celtic from PSG
As far as players abroad who are relevant... thats pretty much it for the time being.

Antonee Robinson, LB on loan at Wigan from Everton. Overlooked him on the first post.

What ever happened to some Cunningham? Played in Europe a while back. Also Will Packwood?

Packwood (who was a center back) is back in college now, his career is over. Both him and Marc Pelosi had their soccer careers ruined by broken legs.

And my ubiquitous shout out for Kyle Scott, who routinely plays on the left side.
Will be out of contract with Chelsea come June. Maybe he should try MLS...am surprised nobody from MLS went for him on loan

Doesn't matter, he plays in Europe. Thats all we need to know. He's clearly one of the best 23 players this nation has.

@lilshmike I'm not sure how I'm interested in tracking and seeing him is the same as he's in our 23. Sciaretta has been mentioning Boyd as 1 to watch so I'll defer to his expertise.
I mean mentioned Toljan who has stated that he's not interested and Fab who's said he's retired from intl play so all bets are off.
Let's try to have to have productive convo, cynicism isn't necessary.
