And supposedly there is also a u20 camp this next week too. Tab is close to finalizing in his mind who his guys are. This is important as Tab has shown he can add a guy last minute so anyone called up can impress their way to the final roster. Guys like aboucacar keita it maybe Michael Edwards will be pushing for the potentially vacant McKenzie spot or to be the 3rd CB...

Would love to see what Edwards can bring. He is ascending with Wolfsburg pretty quickly. I hear Keita had a really good camp in December/January.

If it's true that both Sargent and Weah will probably be with the U20's this summer then my 21 man prediction has changed:

G: Muse, Dos Santos, Brady

D: Dest, Lindsey, Gloster, Real, McKenzie, Richards, Keita

M: Ledezma, Mendez, Pomykal, Sands, Durkin

A: Weah, Sargent, Taitigue, De La Fuente, Amon, Llanez

Hopefully Taitigue and McKenzie will be healthy come May.

Edwards of Wolfsburg may potentially make the team at CB

There will be talented players left off. Which means the program is getting really deep and talent laden.

I think blaise would take this team over the senior squad.

GOALKEEPERS (2): C.J. Dos Santos (Benfica/POR; Philadelphia, Pa.; 1/0), Trey Muse (Seattle Sounders FC; Louisville, Ky.; 0/0)

DEFENDERS (6): Sergino Dest (Ajax/NED; Almere-Stad, Netherlands; 6/1), Chris Gloster (Hannover 96/GER; South Orange, N.J.; 9/0), Aboubacar Keita (Columbus Crew SC; Columbus, Ohio; 0/0), Jaylin Lindsey (Sporting Kansas City; Charlotte, N.C.; 5/0), Matthew Real (Philadelphia Union; Drexel Hill, Pa.; 8/0), Chris Richards (Bayern Munich/GER; Hoover, Ala.; 6/0)

MIDFIELDERS (6): Frankie Amaya (FC Cincinnati; Santa Ana, Calif.; 11/1), Christian Cappis (Hobro/DEN; Katy, Texas; 2/0); Andrew Carleton (Atlanta United FC; Powder Springs, Ga.; 5/2), , Chris Durkin (D.C. United; Glen Allen, Va.; 0/0), Alex Mendez (Freiburg/GER; Los Angeles, Calif.; 13/8), Juan Pablo Torres (New York City FC; Lilburn, Ga.; 10/4)

FORWARDS (6): Ayo Akinola (Toronto FC/CAN; Detroit, Mich.; 10/9), Jonathan Amon (Nordsjaelland/DEN; Summerville, S.C.; 0/0), Konrad de la Fuente (Barcelona/ESP; Barcelona, Spain; 0/0), Ulysses Llanez (Unattached; Lynwood, Calif.; 9/7), Justin Rennicks (New England Revolution; Hamilton, Mass.; 12/6), Sebastian Soto (Hannover 96/GER; San Diego, Calif.; 3/2)

U20 camp in Spain. They will be taking on France and Japan. Both going to the u20 WC.

Here is the roster:

GK: Dos Santos, Muse

D: Dest, Lindsey, Gloster, Real, Richards, Keita

M: Amaya, Mendez, Carleton, Cappis, Durkin, Torres

F: Akinola, De La Fuente, Llanez, Amon, Rennicks, Soto

Obviously Sands and Pomykal are staying with their respective MLS teams as they are starters. Weah and Sargent are with the U23's. But I stil think they will ultimately be with the U20's for the WC.

McKenzie is still injured.

What I like:

The inclusion of De La Fuente who I ultimately think will be on the u20 WC team.

Dest is probably one of if not the most talented players in this u20 cycle. His stock is rising with Ajax and I won't be surprised if he is an Ajax first team player next season.

No Taitigue which leads me to believe he may be injured again.

Taitague is injured

Time to give up on Taitague (20 years old) he is simply far too injury prone.

That's a bummer. Really talented dude. Even if he regains fitness before the WC I don't know if you can justify taking a guy that may get injured. Especially with limited spots on a u20 WC roster. But who knows.

Tab has brought players in the past who were just returning from injury and it bit him in the ass. Hopefully he learned his lesson.

I'm not ready to toss in the towel on a talented 20 yr old, but the best thing for him may be to sit out the summer, heal completely and push for 1st team minutes with his club during Pre-Season.

Hard to see Akinola not called up. If Taitigue is a no go, then Akinola should be on the team.

It's going to be crazy hard for Tab to make his final selections. Brendan Aaronson looks to be a highly talented attacking midfielder as well.

Yeah Tab has an interesting dilemma. The midfield for this selection is ridiculous, how do you choose.

U20's are currently losing 2-1 to France. De La Fuente with the US goal. Not a fan of Ramos starting lineup for this game. Besides De La Fuente who is probably the US best player in the game right now at age 17.

US u 20's rally to a 2-2 draw with a good France team. Goals by Llanez and De LA Fuente. Two of the youngest players on this team.

What was wrong with Ramos' lineup? Seemed fine, which players specifically did you mean?
