Staying on topic:

Konrad De La Fuente I think may have played with Barcelona's reserve squad already (not 100% sure)

Good call! He is on Ramos radar for the u20 WC as well. A lot of young talented attackers coming up.

Naw... he'll just create a new account.

Pretty sure that a few people have already created shadow accounts on this site. Not going to call out any names, but for those who have been on yanks-abroad long enough, I'm sure you can figure it out...

Spoke with someone close to Efra Alvarez and they believe he's going to have a tremendous year and will embarrass MLS.

Did that person give any insight into chances of him picking the USA?

I didn't ask that question specifically but was told the hiring of Berhalter has some dual nationals questioning their commitment to the USMNT program.

Why would the hiring of Berhalter have them questioning their commitment? And are we talking YNT players? Because Berhalter hasn't done shit yet. Several months ago, I was lucky enough to have a few conversations with the family of player who switched and they hinted that there would be more defections from the US in the future.

If people were questioning their commitment (which they are absolutely right to do based on the consistently indefensible actions/lack thereof of USSF toward certain communities), then it would have been already going on versus GB's hiring being the catalyst. Hope this doesn't come across like a personal attack, just looking for more context behind the information that you provided.

Haha I'm gonna start calling Blaise, "Uncle Blaise" because he's like that uncle that makes all family gatherings super awkward because he says a bunch of questionable/discriminatory shit and calls anyone who calls him out a "triggered p***y" or something

But actually. There is nothing that he has done (at least that I am aware of) that should make any dual national "question their commitment" to the USMNT.

The main drivers of people deciding to switch/chose Mexico over the USMNT are pressure from their family, being able to make it on the Mexican national team in a position where they wouldn't be able to make it on the USMNT, and the fact that Mexico has done better than the USMNT over the past few years.

Or the fact half of Mexico lives here now and created a parallel culture. You basically can live out the Mexican culture behind the safety of the US. Go put these dual nationals in the streets of Tijuana with there 2500 annual murders and they'll change their allegiance real fast.
