Sorry you don't see it. Maybe you should watch more. Keep on hating on MLS players. I'm sure Holmes will get a chance. And what I can gather about you.... is that you don't watch many MLS games. I don't even know if you can accurately rate any player no matter what the league is.

I've watched Morris for yrs and he's never not been big trash lol. No one is hating on MLS players, but I will hate on the USSF fucking over the USMNT by trying to promote a league rather than develop a national program based on merit and quality.
To say Duane Holmes should take a backseat to someone who looked very pedestrian against bottom level competition is the exact kind of MLS fanboyism that set this program back a cycle.
I call a spade a spade, Morris is the golden boy that no one out of MLS wants and Miha is nowhere near top half Championship quality.

Merit and quality... so says the guy who's been claiming for players who are bench/reserve team guys to get minutes. Like Parks, Sonora, Terrence Boyd, Moore, Gall, McKennie last GC...

Seriously, you're such a hypocrite. It must be said.

And again, it's sad that one of your ridiculous rants is taking over another thread, the topic of which has nothing to do with what you're posting about...

Lol, says the guy that says we should play the guys that play in the best league, but fuck the guys in the better leagues if there's a white boy in MLS that plays the same position.

You really brought up every guy I've called for since the past few yrs haha.
Parks has more quality than guys that have received calls like Roldan, Delgado etc.
Sonora is a regular in a better league than MLS and plays a position of need.
I was calling on Boyd a yr ago when he was playing in Bundesliga 2 and nobody outside of the fanboy legion will tell you Zardes is better.
Again I was calling on Moore a yr ago, who has more quality than Lovitz, Sweat, and Lima.
Gall again merits a look, the same look that MLS players get.
Mckennie should've been in the team based on his quality and playing a position of weakness as soon as he became a first team player. But like our manager our fan base doesn't do hw on non mls guys.

Adams once again goes 90 at the defensive midfield spot in a 0-1 away win for Leipzig over Schalke and Weston McKennie (played RWB). Adams is now in my opinion the most important player to the team. "Genius" GB thinks he should be playing RB so he can shoehorn Bradley in at CDM. Adams can do everything on the field including passing the ball. If given a real opportunity he will beat out Trapp and Bradley for the #6 spot, as he was a better CDM when all three played MLS.

The thing about it is- the "modern" soccer would dictate a McKennie - Adams pairing in a 4-2-3-1, playing the fullbacks high up the field just like Berhalter did at Columbus. So either he's changing it up because he wants the golden boys (either Trapp or Bradley) to play regardless, or because he thinks shifting Adams out to RB in this new system will make that much of a difference. Adams can do it all so I'm not worried about him - however I think it's just that he will be a peripheral player out there, lessening his importance just by design.

Did Berhalter specifically state that he was going to play Adams at RB?

Yes. Said he's going to do both but his comments are all about Adams playing RB and the versatility it offers.

To be honest Mckennie looks like he should be playing that hybrid RB spot not Adams

What if I told you, we have a UCL bound CDM/CM playing regularly in Germany after just arriving. But Greg is going to move him to RB?

ALSO,

What if I told you, we have a starting RB in the prem but Greg is going to move him up on the wing?

Surely Greg knows something a former UCL winning manager and a very good manager in Germany doesn't. Likely. Face palm.

Idk, I mean it's a dumb move in a sense, but with our full backs tucked in I see how Yedlin may be less effective at RB and more effective on the wings, where his speed can actually be utilized. Also, I see how Boyd is very likely better at defending a space and more physical than Yedlin, and can also deliver some good service at points.

But it doesn't really matter because in my heart of hearts I would never move Adams to RB when he is playing so well at DM, and if Yedlin doesn't fit the system then he needs to adapt or we can play an actual RB in that position. McKennie has been playing games at RB for Schalke.

Also, did we ever figure out if Toljan is completely done with the nats? Dude is playing every week for Celtic at RB.

It's not a traditional rb position in Berhalters system. Nothing experimenting. If it doesn't work then I'm sure Berhalter will make adjustments.

Yeah I get that, just didn't think he'd pick friendlies against some top-flight competition (or at least decidedly better than us) to test it out on. Seems a bit risky and early to be toying like that, but my fork and knife are ready for crow feasting.

It's a dumb experiment. Bradley isn't among the best 11 now and certainly won't be by '22. Experinent with someone else at that spot.

Right now Bradley can still help. Won't be surprised to see Zelalem at that spot in a couple of years if he stays healthy. Adams doesn't have the passing range yet.

Whether or not Adams has the passing range, it's obvious Berhalter has created this setup to benefit Bradley and Trapp. All the other players accommodate the 6 in the setup. He's changing what he does to enable this setup. Always Berhalter played with fullbacks high and wide at Columbus (we have Robinson and Yedlin) - but now Gregg is changing to do this. It appears to most fans he wants to shoehorn the golden boy in there.

"Can still help" doesn't mean "should still start and we should move one of our best outfield players to accommodate him". And if Adams doesn't have the passing range, putting him in a spot where he needs to consistently serve crosses is dumb.
