No. I clearly stated that all I was doing was presenting a rationale for how it may make sense to put Adams at RB. That was in fact the question asked by hamsamwich in this thread.

My real idea is to start Terrence Boyd up top with Keaton Parks, Danny Williams, and Alfredo Morales all in the middle, and have either Dest or Moore at RB... then find a way to jam Sonora, Gooch, Wright, and Nova into the squad.

Put me at GK and we'd run all over Camp Cupcake.

I wouldn't put Williams in the lineup since he hasn't played in a year and I wouldn't put Morales in since he hasn't shown any signs of greater development since he was 25.

@john-lewis just a point of clarification, Danny started against Arsenal 2 months ago. Not the Tampa Bay Mutiny, but Arsenal!

Alfredo Morales started and went 90 in the Bundesliga last weekend.
The only other 2 CMs in our pool that start in a top league and are healthy are Adams and Mckennie. All that I ask is that we come up with a standard criteria for ranking players and let the Politics and nepotism go.

Tyler Adams was really good for Leipzig today. Also had a really good assist on one of the goals. This guy continues to get better and better. Watch out Dortmund Leipzig are coming. Adams will definitely be playing in the UCL next season. Anyone who thinks this kid is basic...clearly has no idea about talent.

Oh and Matt Doyle stop trying to shoe horn Adams as RWB. This dude had Bradley, McKennie, and Lletget in his ideal Midfield with Adams at RWB. Because Bradley can supposedly pass better......???? I understand it's an opinion, but man anyone can see Bradley should be in the USMNT roster for depth purposes and not as a starter.

And even including Bradley over healthy D Will and Morales as a depth option is fanboying

No I don't agree that. Williams is always hurt and Morales isn't better than Bradley.

Mind you I said a healthy Williams lol. If you can't tell me that Bradley is better when both are healthy, you don't really believe Bradley is actually better.

Regarding Morales, if we're going to make guys earn their place, you can't look over a regular starter in a better league, because he's not the Great American Surburban White Hope.
What message is that sending to the pool?

I like to reiterate, MB is 31, rapidly declining, and hasn't played in a top league in 5 yrs.

The interesting thing is that McKennie played RB today for Schalke.

We saw Morales for the Nats when he was at Ingolstadt and an erstwhile starter in the Bundesliga. He ducked. And it's not like hes currently lighting it up for Fortuna.

McKennie played RB in second half as they were a man down do to a red card. He was strong the entire game.

Bradley has been trash for 4 yrs and you give him a pass.
Why is that?

What did Morales do so bad to be blackballed from USMNT?

Because Trapp sucked for a whole yr and continued to get starts, Bradley has sucked for 4 yrs and continued to get calls...hmm what do they have that he doesn't have lol?

I'm just pointing out blatant bias against a brown player that has no MLS connection that no one has a reasonable explanation to exclude.

I don't think people are giving Bradley a "pass". I'll speak for myself and say I think Bradley is now and always has been better than Morales. I agree he should get a look for the national team if age isn't a qualifier... but I'd much rather see the productive Tyler Adams be given the minutes at the #6. While we are at it... I just don't see the logic in player Adams AND McKennie in the Mihailovic/Roldan spots. That would mean one of the two of them would be basically defending as a striker like Djordje was... and to me that doesn't make any sense. I think that role would be tailor made for Pulisic not Adams or McKennie.

First, Adams and Mckennie are naturally dual 6s.

Again, not based on any objective measures you're telling me Bradley who has been in MLS for 5 yrs and is 31 is better than a youngner Bundesliga starter is laughable to me and the rest of the non USA world. Not Hereneven Bradley, not Roma Bradley, but the Bradley that was ran off the field by Trinidad, totally over his head against Argentina and England, and even out of sorts against some MLS competition. I'm not believing Bradley could make a top league starting 11 right now. He wasn't even best 11 in MLS.

The blind belief in MB is crippling US soccer

Dude... you don't get it. It's not blind belief in Bradley. Everyone keeps saying that hes over the hill and passed it but we lack better options.

Williams has been hurt, is almost as old as Bradley, isnt fit, has not really played in a year, and currently doesnt even make the bench consistently for the worst team in the premier league by a mile and it's not even close... No, he does not deserve to be called in. No, he is not currently better than Bradley. No, never at his peak was he better than Bradley at his peak. No, he should not get consideration to get called in until he is fit, playing consistently, and earns it. It's possible that he wont be the same player once hes fully fit. But once hes in the championship next season, you'll likely quit making ridiculous claims about calling him in.

Morales was never good for the national team. Never. Every time he played he was bad... so bad that it made most people say "geez, I would actually rather have Bradley out here". Yeah, he plays consistently in the Bundesliga, and sure he should probably get a look from Berhalter... but if Berhalter wants a deep lying midfielder to ping long balls and disrupt offensive lanes, then Morales isnt the guy. That role, believe it or not, suits Bradley better than Morales. And for the other positions/roles in midfield that we have, there are other players better than him.

McKennie and Adams are at the point where they are better and are pushing Bradley out of the picture... but candidly we have yet to see how this will truly pan out and how/where they will fit into Berhalters system. They undoubtedly have a role... where yet is TBD. Nobody knows that except Berhalter.

Just because someone plays in a good league does not mean that they are automatically better or better suited to play a position than someone who is in a lower league.

Enough with this. You're not changing anyone's mind on the topic. It's becoming a broken record and its bloating and spanning almost every thread at this point. We get it... you think everyone in Europe is better than anyone in MLS, you think Bradley is terrible, and anyone who disagrees is a fanboy. Nobody cares and nobody is going to magically come to their senses and start agreeing with everything you say. Just stop with this nonsense.

Yes I'd agree McKennie and Adams can play as dual 6s, yes.

My point was that people want these guys to play as dual 8/10s in the Berhalter system. Not attacking enough on offense and on defense it doesn't put the two of them in midfield, one would stay high in our defensive 4-4-2. That's why I don't want to see Bradley, Trapp or anyone else playing furthest back. If we do that, then one of Adams/McKennie shouldn't be on the field. I just don't see Tyler Adams as a guy who should play that far forward.

The reasonable explanation is that he is 28 (soon to be 29), isn't playing all that well, and has sucked for the Nats. What's the point in bringing him in? He's not part of the future plans. I don't care if Bradley is called in or not, but at least he has a history of results for the Nats that he can point to.

Also don't care if Trapp is called in, but he is 2.5 years younger than Morales and at least fits the timeline for ‘22.

But sure, it's racism.
