While I agree we need others to step up and play the #6 role beyond Adams & Bradley, I don't think Pomykal is that guy. If Pomykal plays centrally i believe him to more of an 8 right now, and possibly a 10 sometime in the future.
Not sold on EPB as a CDM either. Could he play there....sure, but I think he'll be challenging for one of the CB spots in the near future.

Right now I don't see anyone not named Adams or McKennie playing in Europe as a long term solution to the 6 role. Yes, Morales could fill in at the position but I am not sold on him. I think D. Williams is a better option, but the guy just can't stay healthy.
That leaves the best potential prospects playing in MLS or Liga MX. Of those players the 4 best options for a back-up in 2022 are Durkin, Sands, Canouse, & K. Acosta.

Tyler Adams starting. But unfortunately they started him at RB. I really hope that doesn't continue with Liepzig.

Watching Adams struggle at RB today reaffirms my thoughts that he is not a RB. So much better in the middle of the park.

I watched the game too. He struggled to make any meaningful impact. But will watch Werder and Sargaent in about an hour. Timmy Chandler didn't look bad for Frankfurt

Also not sure what Michael Bradley has ever destroyed beyond our hopes and dreams.

Adams needs to work on his 1v1 defending. Also he is like Bradley and over commits on the ball and gets easily turned. Definitely things he needs to clean up about his defensive game.

Still a 0-0 draw. Thought he did well against Davies in the second half.

He just has a few games back. He was starting to look like a difference maker last year.

No one that starts for the number 2 team in the Bundesliga is average by world standards.
Tyler Adams may be an average Champions League knockout round player, but he's a very good Bundesliga player, a good international player and a very good player for the US pool.
To call arguably our most important player avg is either ignorant or trolling and I'm gonna call it out.
It's a joke that the US fan base have ppl that are this clueless about the game.

I certainly don't think he is average. He is returning from injury and Sundays game was not his best TBH. Just remember that all of us here just have opinions on players. I don't agree with your assessment on all players as I know that you don't always agree with mine. Blaise231 is certainly entitled to his opinion, it does not mean he is clueless about the game. Maybe he has just watched games where Adams have been average like Sundays game.

Sunday's game was against a top 5 club in the world and the reports ive read said his defense was good, which is his role.
We can't throw out trash, average, good, very good, without some context.
If Tyler is average I need to know average compared to who?
Bcuz he plays a very important role for a top 16 team in the world.
I just don't think Blaise values defensive minded midfielders which are a very important part of any good team.
