Hopefully the new coach (Tab or whoever) takes over starting with these matches.

Nov 15 v England.
Nov 20 v Italy.

I don't think Tab will take over due to the u20 tournament. But I do think if Tab is hired the team selected will be all Ramos. Whoever Ramos hires as an assistant will probably be in charge. Would love to see Hugo Perez as one of his assistants.

European veterans have to see this as a chance to get a look. Ream, Morales, Cameron and a few young players like Gall and Hyndman have to think this time around they will get minutes. The England game especially for a few of those guys. England themselves are on fire with their youth movement and Italy is in the same boat as the USA. Should be a few good games to watch although the game in Genk might be dead.

I think England will play their "reserves" against us since they have a key UEFA Nations Cup match with Croatia the following sunday...read no Harry Kane. Still will be a tough match since the reserves will be hungry to impress.

I would be shocked to see a lot of MLS players since this is in the middle of the playoffs, but with Colorado and Toronto out of the playoffs I expect to see Bradley and Acosta.

Still, it will be interesting to see what happens with the Goalkeeper situation. This being a FIFA sanctioned international period, MLS cannot block any player from playing for the USMNT...I bring this up in regards to Steffen and Guzan since it seems only Horvath is playing in Europe and has not had great success to this point with the USMNT.

Still, it would be nice to see Gyau and Hyndmann get another shot and Scott to get a call into camp.

as for lineups, this could be fun...

GK
Yedlin, Miazga, Brooks, Robinson
Morales, McKennie
Pulisic, Scott, Weah
Sargent

What I expect to see...

GK
Yedlin, Miazga, Brooks, Robinson
Bradley
Pulisic, McKennie, Acosta, Weah
Wood

I'm not sure, but I think Gyau is injured https://twitter.com/MSVDuisburg/status/105324...

Regardless of who the coach is on the touch-line I don't expect to see many or any MLS based players called in for the November Camp. It'll be the end of the MLS season so players will either be released after the season or in the heart of the playoffs.
The only MLS players I see getting called in are going to be Adams & keepers.

Keeper: Steffen, Horvath, Guzan/Gonzalez
Defense: Brooks, Miazga, CCV, EPB, Robinson, Yedlin, Moore, TBD
Midfield: Mckennie, Adams, D. Williams/Morales, Hyndman, Parks
Attackers: Pulisic, Wood, Sargent, Nova, Weah, Seif, Gall, Gooch, Scott

I see no point in calling up aging players (Cameron, Ream, Lichaj). It was a stretch for me to even consider Williams or Morales. The last friendlies convinced me that the sooner we move away from the "Old Guard" and turn the keys over the the younger generation the better.

I do agree, Dave, that the November camp should be almost exclusively Europe-based players. I'm not with you on just ignoring players who happen to be more on the veteran side though. If Ream's starting for Fulham, I don't see how we can ignore him for a guy like CCV who's on third Championship loan and may or may not pan out. Similarly, I'd rather call Lichaj than Moore, a sometimes starter for a struggling team in Segunda Liga.

I agree if you're older and play in a top league you should still be included for leadership, depth, competition.
Now I don't think Lichaj is as talented as Moore and Moore's minutes have been trending up.

bjelks, Moore's last 3 league games: 90 minutes, then next game 59 minutes, then last game 11 minutes. In Segunda Liga.

I don't think Moore is that good. I'd go with Chandler over him and get a look at my boy Sergino Dest

At this point, based on the conditional of our Nats program, we need to build depth. I do not rate CCV or Moore as much as everyone else. However, it is worth giving them time based on age and potential. If they can progress overseas and they have PT on the international level, they MAY be quality depth or starters (don't see that). Guys like Ream-who I thought should have been called in more the last cycle and Lichaj who is a solid bench or camp guy are too old and hopefully will not be needed. If they were needed for qulaifiers we already know what they bring to the table.

My make a wish foundation November Roster:

Forwards: Sargent, Johansson, Novakovich, Weah

Midfield: De la Fuente, Tillman, Pulisic, Effrain Alvarez, McKennie, Duane Holmes, Parks, Sabbi, Saief

Defenders: Robinson, Brooks, CCV, Miazga, Richards, Chandler, Sergino Dest

Goal: Steffen, ?, ?

I'd call up a 26 man roster and add: Sebastian Soto, Andre Costa, Sonora

I disagree that we need to be giving guys time on the full national team based on age and potential. If it's a guy who's about to break through (like Sargent) or has just broken through with a top league club, there's an argument. But guys like CCV and Moore are loanees in second tier leagues who aren't even consistent starters there. I'm not picking a second tier benchwarmer over a top tier starter just because the benchwarmer is younger and might be good down the line.

blaise, I swear one of these days one of your bizarre rosters is going to include a dead guy, like in Major League.

Or a guy who hasn't played since August and is sidelined for the next 4-5 months after having knee surgery...

Hard to play when you have a torn ACL. Makes me wonder if many of the guys on this site actually know anything about the players they call for...
