As he came off the field, he punched the wall of the dugout.

Pulisic has been in very poor form for over a year now. I've been saying all along that the problem is that he is being played on the right, where all he can do is run down the line and send in crosses. He's not that type of player and it's a waste of his talent. In the modern game, you want your best winger to play on the side of his weak foot so that he can cut in to the middle and attack. Since Pulisic is lower on the pecking order, they've stuck him on the right and he has suffered for it.

Strongly disagree that he's been in poor form for a year. He's been good for the most part this season.

Besides that cup game last week against a second-division side (where everyone said that it was one of his poorer games, aside from three moments of quality), when has he played well? Name one game.

I never thought I'd say this but I want him to leave Dortmund. He needs to play as the #10 or on the left. Huge waste of his talents sticking him on the right. He needs to practice going for goal, and that won't happen for him on the right side of the field. Klopp has done absolute wonders for attacking players at Liverpool, so while I don't think the Prem is a good destination for young talent (Arsenal aside), I really hope the rumors come true and he ends up at Liverpool.

Sorry that I can't name a specific game, but his biggest issue this year is getting some knocks that have kept him out of 3-4 games. He was a bright spot in attack early on in the league games. 3 goals and 3 assists in 12 games across all competitions is a pretty good return. Is it the be all, end all in terms of how he's playing? No, certainly not. But as an attacking player, that what he'll ultimately be judged on.

As for the recent cup game, I'm sorry but it's a damn near impossible argument to say that it was one of his "poorer" games when he was critical in all 3 of the goals for Dortmund.

Lastly, although I agree that playing on the left is better for a right footed winger, I'm pretty confident that he's generally played on the right since he's been on the senior team with Dortmund. To the extent he hasn't been as good as his first full season with the first team, I don't think it's because he's on the right.

Well, we now have all-English Champions League and Europa League finals. I remember saying on these boards a few years back that the English game was showing the hints of becoming like the Germans after their whole re-tooling post 06 WC. England makes it to the WC semis this year and now this.

Obviously club football is a different animal than international, but it is still highly impressive, what the English game is doing right now.

It's all cyclical. In a couple years LA LiGa will be dominate again. In fact Seria A is starting to ramp up again.
