This game is definitely showing me that some players are not ready for the full team.

Players who are:

Robinson
Aaronson
Saucedo
Richards
CCV

Cruising at 4-0 now. But they should be up 8-0.

But it's quite clear to me that the future of the striker position is really lacking.

So if we succeed this time in securing qualification to the Olympics.... who would be your 18 man team? I am going to have 35 players listed here and you guys get to choose. Remember you are allowed three overage players on an 18 man roster:

GK: Gonzales, Miller, Horvath, Steffen

Defenders: Cannon, Dest, Antonee, Gloster, Vines, Miles, EPB, CCV, Richards, Long, McKenzie

Midfield: Yueil, Ledezma, Mckennie, Cappis, Mendez, Adams, Holmes, Morales, Sonora

Attackers: Sargent, Soto, Ebobisse, Toye, Weah, Pulisic, Sabbi, Llanez, Saucedo, Lennon, Lewis

Is there a restriction where the overage player cannot have played in the Olympics as an overage player?

I will leave Dest, McKennie and Pulisic off the roster as they will need a break (unless they miss significant time due to injury).

GK: Steffen, Klinsmann

D: Cannon, A Robinson, EPB, Richards, CCV, Gloster, Hines-Ike (O)

M: Adams, Pom, Ledezma, Sonora, Holmes (O)

F: Sargent, Soto, Weah, Morris (O)

I figure in a pinch Hines-Ike can play MF or RB and Holmes can play on the wing if needed.

Good add on Pomykal. The only way I see Reyna on the Olympic squad is if he sees first team minutes for Dortmund this season.

Also I have a feeling a Chelsea won't release Pulisic for the Olympic team.

Pretty much agree might consider using Aaronson instead of Yuiell.

The drawback in Olympic teams is that there are only 20 roster spots. This limits the depth of a team. Players who can be fielded in multiple positions will often get the nod over someone who only plays 1 position.
Yueill is basically the only pure CDM on the roster. EPB could be deployed as a CDM or possibly McKenzie....but I wouldn't put Aaronson as the deep lying CM. I just don't think he has the defensive positioning needed for that roll.
If we end up qualifying for the Olympics I wouldn't be surprised to see Aaronson or Mihailovic dropped in favor of Cappis as he's able to play a wider range of the CM rolls.
