Might as well start the discussion, the games will be here pretty quickly. As I've noted I just want us calling up guys who are in good form for their clubs. And looking at more wing options to hopefully collaborate with Pulisic at the 10.

Hopefully a full time coach will be in place. Stewart needs to hire now. With that being said this is my 25 player call up:
If Lichaj isn't going to play at RB, I don't see why you'd bring him in. Playing him at LB is never going to work.

Saief apparently is still having injury issues as of late last week that were keeping him from training with Anderlecht. I'd honestly rather call Guzan back than continuing to call in Horvath if he's still riding the pine in Belgium, at least Brad's playing and he's fine in a backup role.

Who knows what injuries will occur between now and then, but as a precaution I would not call McKennie given his knee problems last night. He has proven he belongs and is a starter.
If you are going to try Zardes as the main striker then why not do this...
I would also consider Nova up top with Weah on the wing, but why not try a more athletic and mobile attack.
Oh, and while it is only limited highlights, Kyle Scott has looked good for Telstar. I am not advocating calling him in and starting him, but surely if you call up Roldan and Delgado and give them minutes there is room for Scott as well.

I hear ya, but options at LB are scarce. Robinson goes down with an injury we are back to square one at that position. Danilo Acosta is in and out at LB with RSL, Villafana is injured. Maybe Brandon Vincent should get a look.

With what I have seen so far and if everyone is healthy this is my starting 11 against Colombia with one change:
Wood is clearly the starter and he will have more reps with Hannover by this game. Pulisic and Gall on the wings with Green underneath Wood. We need consistency at the back 4 now and this will be the starting 4 at the Gold Cup. You can argue for Weah or Amon, but it looks like Amon will be a U20 player right now and Weah needs some more first team game time. Yes Gall struggled in MLS, but Berhalter will point out that he didn't play Gall right and didn't give him enough time at C-bus. Berhalter has nothing but positive things to say about Gall. And quite frankly a Gall is one of the best players in Sweden right now. I don't care what the talking heads say cough, cough Matt Doyle; Gall needs to be in this team.
And no Altidore and Bradley should not be brought back in. Keep on playing with the young team. Bradley will be 34 in 2020 and Altidore 32. They should be brought back in if the USMNT needs emergency help due to injuries and that's it.

While the September friendlies were not as productive as many of us would have preferred there were some positives that can be taken and applied to the October camp.
I'm not saying that the following means that these players should be every game starters, or that they go 90 minutes game. Just that these are the players to be included in the 23 whenever possible...
1) Steffen is the #1 Keeper.
2) Starting Defense: Robinson, Yedlin, Brooks, & Miazga.
3) Core Midfield players: McKennie, Adams,
4) Core Attackers: Pulisic, Wood, Weah
5) The coaching staff either needs to call in players to fit their formation, or change their formation to match the players they called in. If we're going to play a 4-1-4-1 than don't put 4 defensive minded midfielders (McKennie, Adams, Acosta, Trapp) on the field together. We would have been better suited to play a 4-3-3 with combination of the 4 listed above as the midfield...than use a combination of Wood, Green, Weah, & Zardes as the attackers.
The balance of the participants for camps should be selected from those who are getting consistent minutes and fulfill gaps within the player pool. The biggest question marks in the player pool are on the wing, up top, and who will be the creative engine when Pulisic isn't available. These are where we need to focus our energies. If the coaching staff can't start working towards identifying players for these areas of weakness than the sooner their replaced the better.
Use the annual January Camp to bring in the Veteran MLS Players (Bradley, Jozy, Guzan), and any truly new MLS faces (Canouse, Durkin, Long, etc....). There are only so many FIFA Dates where we can get players released from European Clubs. Since Europe is where our best prospects are the next 4 friendlies should focus on the European players.

I'd rotate the squad some, building around the few who have looked good and calling in some who didn't make it this time around. With the expanded player pool, I'd like to see it be used. Whether it's Gall, Canouse, Dom Dwyer, whoever. Some rotation needs to happen, but not too much as I think most of these players would function much better with Pulisic on the field creating which is what we lacked these past games. Part of the friendlies is putting people out on the field and we saw that isolated Trapp is just as bad as isolated Bob Wood.
