For the new hopefuls, I'd like to see.

Pomykal, Rennicks or Llanez, Dest...Mendez would be great, but no chance of that happening.

I'd like to see Lima, Cannon, Baird or Muller...definitely...Mihailovic.

We don't have a lot of savvy playmaking options in the midfield. We need to identify a handful of potentials.... Pomykal...Mihalovic... smart players with vision and creativity...still young but worth a look for the future since it is camp cupcake.

Gio Reyna is a baller... pair him with Llanez and you'll see some quality.

The younger MLS kids can ball, the mid 20s MLS players can only back pass

Two Camp Cupcake friendlies now, against Panama and Costa Rica at home. Hopefully we can get two decent European friendlies in March and also evaluate some more Europe-based guys as well.

We're going to need chaperones, are you volunteering? If you're going to include Mendez and Zelalem, why not your boy Tillman, who can't even make the first team bench anymore for Nurnberg?

Cristiano Ronaldo Jr is available too. We should take a look at him as well.

And wait... aren't Hoyos and Fafa 27? I think they're too old and washed up for the list you just presented. One player begging to play in the inferior MLS, with another who washed out of the German lower divisions to be a mediocre player in the league...

I would like to see Hoyos called in for the January camp. And I really hope my Sounders sign him. We need a direct, technical, and explosive attacking midfielder/winger. He is really starting to show his quality again.

Lol who you trying to include, mid 20s MLS lifers that pass backwards? I'd call in my boy Tillman if he can get his switch approved in time

I'm trying to include professional soccer players, these are senior internationals not a field trip to Chuck E. Cheese. Didn't Tillman say he was filing a switch a year ago? Either he hasn't filed it, or he did and no one cares because he's a reserve team player.

If you pass backwards enough, you will eventually have the ball in the opponents half of the field ;-)

I think this camp is about finding some CB's. Miazga isn't playing, Palmer-Brown is in and out of NAV lineup, John Brooks didn't start over the weekend for Wolfsburg, and CCV isn't really seeing minutes for Swansea.

With that being said I could see Berhalter calling in Mark McKenzie for this Camp cupcake. Highly talented young CB.

I feel like Berhalter calls in players that can model the system for the better European players and the ones from USA not called in. He's going to want players that can do what he says within the team concept, not necessarily experiment with guys. So any fringe players can be brought in, but only if they can perform now in the system. I foresee the more talented European based players owning this team in the future but for now I think we see functional American players from MLS not necessarily the best MLS players if that makes sense.

FYI Brooks didn't start last weekend because he was suspended not because he was left out.
