I do think Kyle Scott has a chance but he won't be at camp cupcake. There's another year or two of club play before World Cup qualifiers and anyone who stands out in the attacking third at that time will be considered. Everyone should get looks and a chance to play which is why I think having a coach for camp cupcake is the most important thing-- so they can effectively look at the new players. George Bello is another that should be there. It's not too early for Bello in my opinion.

So Berhalter looks to be the coach, and the second friendly was announced as Costa Rica away, with the first game still unannounced. Everyone will nominate a guy or two (I'm no different, hoping to see Bello and Mihailovic at Cupcake) they'd like to see.

But I'd like to take a different take on the Trapp-Berhalter deal. He's a coach who has had a middling budget and working with the guys he has, to an extent making Trapp a viable option in MLS and the national team. But what if he had more to work with? As USA coach he will. Perhaps he can coach up our more defensive midfielders to pass and move more effectively...

Cupcake will be the start of a new era- but with only the March friendlies before the gold cup the time is now to impress the coach. We may see that players can play their way onto that Gold Cup roster with an impressive Camp Cupcake.

The MLS fanboys love it, the euro snobs hate it- most of us are stuck in the middle. Most American players are USA based, but the best ones play abroad. So a roster that gets a leg up timingwise may have an advantage over better players to start this cycle off. Or at least they get the first chance to make a first impression on the coach.

Cupcake should be 17, 20, 23 eligible players. Over 23 players that want to be considered for natl team should be on loan in championship

IMO that is too extreme and can be done independently of Camp Cupcake. Let's keep Camp Cupcake and see what the next manager (if we name one) has in mind moving forward.

If we want to see Euro players we can schedule an early spring match and call in the Euro players only.

Agreed.

Reserve January for players in MLS, Liga MX, and random Scandinavian/Americas leagues that follow the same calendar as MLS.

The thing about Berhalter is he knows these players. You'd hope he chooses the right ones.

Henley is a wales international. Already capped with them.

And I have Lennon on the roster.
