So with the September friendlies right around the corner who do you all have as a potential 23 man roster?

This is who I have in:

GK: Gonzales, Guzan, Steffen

D: Yedlin, Cannon, Chandler, Robinson, Brooks, Miazga, CCV, Zimmerman

CM/DM: Adams, Mckennie, Morales, Parks, Trapp,

A: Pulisic, Weah, Wood, Green, Gyau, Novakovich, Sargent

Siebatcheu hasn't been really playing for Rennes in preseason. Don't know if he is injured. Could Tillman get called up too?

Is Saief healthy enough to be called up?

Also I won't be surprised to see Weah play in a more central striker role for the US.

Both Sept. matches are being played at home so it's possible we'll see more MLS based players than I would personally like to see. However, I still don't see many of the players from the 2018 cycle getting called in, so not many "veterans" will get the call.

Keeper: Steffen, Gonzalez, Bono/Horvath
Defense: Yedlin, Robinson, Brooks, Miazga, Zimmerman, EPB, Cannon, Villafana
CM: McKennie, Adams, Lletget, Trapp
Attackers: Pulisic, Weah, Wood, Green, Sargent,

The last 3 roster spots IMO are up for grabs:
Parks, Arriola, Gooch, Scott, Gyau, Sief, Siebatcheu, Novakovich

Acosta may get the nod instead of Parks. Dude has been really good since going to Colorado.

If Ben Lederman goes into the season starting for Gent, I'd give the kid a look

I like the roster but as you said it is on home soil so there will be more MLS players.

I think Parker might be called in to replace Miazga. Getting loaned so late in the pre-season puts him behind the 8 ball and if he is not starting by then he may opt to stay to try and get a starting spot.

Their season has started and he hasn't made the 18 yet. Baby steps.

I think I would rather see Weah central. And I would start Acosta over Parks right now in that line up. I really do hope Parks breaks into Benfica starting 11 this year. Actually I wouldn't mind seeing a 3-5-2.

--Weah--Wood--
----Pulisic--
---Adams--Mckennie-
Robinson-----Yedlin-
--CCV--Brooks-Miazga-
----Steffen---

We want to see guys like EPB and Miazga get minutes. Both were on the bench while the starters ahead of them got torched. Their turn should be soon...

LOL. Well, the thread is kind of vague regarding which September we're referring to.

Dave Sarachan had a live streaming conference today, I missed it but people were talking about a Michael Bradley inclusion on the comments, WTF!

He should absolutely be included. If we had to pick our strongest 23 right now, he would be in it without question. You need to have older, established players around to set an example and teach the kids.

I expect Bradley to not only be in the camp, but also start the game against Mexico. After that, he will probably get rotated out through the rest of the friendlies.

We need to move on, yes. But it would be wise to gradually phase him (as well as a few others) out instead of just cutting everyone and starting from scratch.

So what is our strongest 23 right now?

If I had to guess who the 23 would be I would say...

Steffen, Gonzalez, Guzan

Yedlin, Robinson, Miazga, Brooks, Parker, EPB, Moore, Villafana

McKennie, Adams, Bradley, Trapp, Hyndmann, Lletget

Novakovich, Jozy, Weah, Pulisic, Green, Gyau?
