It isn't too far fetched to think that Serbia could end Brazil's World Cup today too. I wouldnt put money on it but it will be an intriguing game to watch, for sure.

Disappointed that Senegal is out. Still not convinced about the VAR overturn of their penalty award. There was clear contact with the leg and then maybe a touch on the ball. Sucks to have a tournament where a system that hasn't been fully tested is used and deciding teams' fates. Not to mention using VAR for the tournament and not for qualifying.

With nothing to play for Belgium and England have emptied the benches.

Second place has what is perceived to be the easiest path to the semis. All tie breakers are even except for fair play so I was just wondering...

if the score is tied and a team is behind in the fair play tie-breaker, what would happen if all the players took off their shirts at the same time in injury time in an effort to finish second? And would the other team do the same? And how much would FIFA fine them?

I am rooting for Belgium too. They may have as much talent as France does on their team. England does not have the depth.

Watched the Senegal overturned penalty in super slo-mo. Tackler's contact definitely with the leg first, then heel touching the ball. This is not to mention the whole going out of the tournament on yellow cards thing. If Spain doesn't wake up that whole right side of the draw is going to be wide open.

Well, if anyone is looking to buy Mbappe from PSG this summer, his asking price just shot through the roof. What a performance.

I would say France is looking mighty dangerous after this one, but also, Argentina has been pretty terrible all tournament, so

I had Uruguay vs France in the Final of the Predictions league. I will get my matchup just two roubds earlier than I expected.

Hopefully Cavani is able to go.

Opens up that side for the winner of England V Colombia. With England winning the U17 and U20 WC in 2017 I wouldn't be surprised to see them reach the final this year. England really is entering a golden generation.

We're only halfway through the round of 16, but man oh man...best World Cup of all-time? It's certainly up there. And we've got a ways to go!
