There seems to be a large number of players who can play in multiple positions, so it almost looks as if I'm double counting players. In addition since many of these players are so young that even their clubs aren't sure what their best positions are these types of rankings are going to constantly shifting over the next couple years. That said these would be the 50 players I believe we should be building around right now.
Starting in the 2019 January camp a couple of the Veterans can be brought back into the conversation (Jozy, Bradley, Guzan, Besler) if the young players below aren't cutting it.

How are Wood and ArJo considered to be young players? Wood is 25 and ArJo is 27. Jozy, for frame of reference, is 28.

Dude, Julian Green was also a highly touted prospect from Bayern Munich and he amounted to mediocre. What makes you think Tillman will be special (his youtube highlights look mediocre)?

Tillman is talented. But yet again it seems he wants to stay in the Germany set up.

This is the depth chart for right now, 2019 or the crystal ball seeing out to 2022? A lot of you are putting guys who aren't even senior level players yet over established senior team players. See right back: it's fine to take a look at guys like Moore, Olosunde, Fossey in friendlies because we're preparing for Olympic qualifying as well. But until they break through as full-time senior players (Moore was up at Levante for a cup of coffee and straight back down), none of those guys would or should be on the 2019 Gold Cup roster.

Lol Julian Green is not mediocre. He's a good player. He has good technique on his first touch, passing, and shooting. He has quality to be a regular in the Bundesliga and national team at #10 or withdrawn forward. He's still a young player at 22 and he needed to go to 2nd division to toughen up, which he has.

Why do we labor to try and play with a dedicated DM that we insist on building the attack through? IT IS SO EFFING PREDICTABLE!
The formation was too stagnant and there was not enough running off the ball or interplay. Granted, a lot of the players are getting to know each others styles, but still, the passes to guys that were marked by three guys was not that impressive.
If you are going to play a 4-1-4-1 you need a DM that can win the ball and position himself well. Didn't see that today.
I still think we should play three in the back....Yedlin/Moore and Robinson/Olusunde are better wingbacks than outside backs. Plus if they get caught upfield there are still three at the back.
The thing is would we be better in a 3-5-2 type setup or a 3-4-3?
McKennie and Adams/Parks are dynamic enough to form a midfield 2 so ideally I would think we are athletic enough to play a 3-4-3.
And Sam Hays...sorry I do not see Carleton as being better than Scott or Hyndman as an AM nor do I see Arriola as being a viable international caliber winger over players like Gyau.
