From Bobby Boswell on Twitter. Lol.

"Tonite at the gym, a man told me he thought Italy could win the 2018 World Cup. I told him they had the same chances as the USA. He told me I was crazy & knew nothing about world football. I said "you mean soccer?" He walked away. #WorldCup2018"

Ha, sorry. But since we're on the topic, this is one of my all time favorite tweets.

skangles - I hope you're wrong regarding Mexico's performance. I think it'll come down to how they do in their first match. If they get hammered by Germany in that opening game, I think they could wilt under the pressure of expectations.

I feel good about Mexico in this tournament but I totally agree that they are a swing for the fences type of team. They have the talent to make a serious run but they could also bomb out in spectacular fashion as I have some real concerns about their defense.

I saw a UK betting site had Mexico's odds at 125/1 to win the World Cup. I wanted to jump at those odds but I forgot that we're not allowed to bet on sports in this country. I guess that could all be changing soon but it will be too late to take advantage of British footballing bias.
