Let's say we qualified for Russia and here we are preparing for the tournament. Based on recent form of our player pool, what do you think our starting XI would look like for our opening match?

Obviously there are a lot of variables here: the coach, who we would be playing, etc. But let's just play a fun game and see what people think/how depressed we can make ourselves.

Zardes would be our starting forward based on form which is uhhhhhhh

FRIGHTENING(although I think he gets unfairly criticized sometimes)

If we had qualified, Areana would still be the coach. That being said our starting XI would likely have been:

----------Jozy--------Dempsey---------
-Zardes-----Bradley----McKennie-----Pulisic--
-Villafana----Zimmerman---Hedges----Yedlin---
--------------Howard----------------

Bench: Dwyer, Wood, Nagbe, Bedoya, Zusi, Brooks, Miazga, Cameron, Lichaj, Beasley, Guzan, Hamid
Alternates: Adams, CCV, Acosta, Agudelo, Birnbaum, Lletget, Green

I'm not depressed about missing the World Cup because Arena would've brought almost the same exact roster from the Trinidad game.

Miazga, Saief, and McKinne would be the only new inclusions.

We would've bounced out in the group stage like 2006.

I was more excited to see the players vs Bolivia because they all can attack

The final stretch of the English league season is upon us, with several Americans on the verge of relegation with their teams.
