Traded to LAFC tonight for allocation money right before the deadline. His relationship with Friedel was broken. Plus Fagundez was being used as the starting 10.
This could be a good move.

I would take a 31 year old Nguyen and keep him to 33 if he ever makes it back to the US MNT. The likes of Pulisic, Mckennie, Sargent should enjoying playing in friendlies with someone as creative like him.

Rey, I would rather have Benny F, than Lee N, I don't really want any older players sans Cameron to be on the team now but for sake of banter-I would choose Benny

The better deal would've been Perry Kitchen for Nguyen

ooof, hasn't Cameron had a run of no games played? I thought he fell out of favor, I know it started because of injuries consideration.
I don't think Cameron is a replacement for Nguyen, and to Blaise's comment, neither is kitchen. I think Kitchen might be in competition with Cameron.
I see Nguyen as a one two guy, looking for space play the ball into attacking areas. Like the way he played against Colombia years back.

Hey Rey-I think you read it wrong or I explained it bad-- I do not want any older players on the team at this point--However, I was suggesting if I had to have an older player in the group it would be someone like Cameron who wasn't one who shit the bed for us, yes he had 1 bad moment but overall the guy was great for the Nats and has the right mentality. I wouldn't be opposed to him being in camp to help mentor the younger guys (wouldn't want him on the field) and I certainly wasn't saying have him play up the field that would be silly.
Ill stick with my stance the Benny F is better the Lee.

No worries, I think I understand that sentiment.
Eh, I think he's had more bad moments than just that. The Portugal game, the falling asleep against Colombia on the header.
He is my favorite for CDM, or at least was.
He's a great talent for us, great MLS talent. He's got some of Brooks DNA in him.
I wouldn't mind old guys if they're representative of better players coming along the pipeline. Wondo for instance, is not Sargent, Weah etc. so no Wondo. But Nagbe, lee, benny, Cameron can be paired with more skillfull guys until their youth equivalent surpasses them.
I think they're both talent type guys. Lee managed to lure Ajax, and Benny Hamburg. I think Benny now is a different player as he can be a cm with a cdm next to him. He's gotten "beefier" and "sturdier" in the tackle.
