We're never going to see an intersquad scrimmage bc it would ruin the integrity of Gregg's selections, but I'd love to see these position battles instead of tasking Gregg's words for them

.
A squad scrimmage pitting Gregg's XI Vs. Kreis's XI would be fun to watch.
Gregg:
--------------Jozy------------
-Pulisic---McKennie-----Holmes--Morris-
--------------Adams-----------
-Dest---Brooks--------Long---Yedlin
.
Kreis:
-------------Sargent----------
-Uli-----Ledezma-----Pomykal--Weah
-------------Durkin------------
Robinson---CCV-------EPB----Cannon

The problem here is Pulisic, Mckennie, Adams and Dest are still U23 eligible.

I'm not sure how much we can learn about these positional battles bc in both teams the top Euro players are going to carry their mls counterparts.

I'm more interested in seeing:

--Sargeant--
CP--Reyna--Weah
--Mckennie-Adams-
Robinson-Brooks-CRich-Dest

vs whatever mls players

Dave I would slide Robinson (mls) or Richards instead of CCV-

Who are the clear cut better MLS options? What's odd is there is always an argument for Euro guys being equal to and not better than the MLS options so we don't call them up, but MLS guys get the benefit of the doubt and always deserve to be called up first.

Sargent is the candidate we want but he isn't scoring goals. Yes, it is a team game but in the end of the day, his four goals doesn't inspire confidence. In his team regulation battle, he was coming off the bench. He scored a goal yes but the team was already up 3-0. And if you look at Bermen, I believe the Japanese player is better than Sargent. And the only person that can change this is Sargent. If he had scored 10-13 goals, we aren't having this debate.

Haji Wright? Nope. Folarin Balogun, when he makes the switch, we can start talking about him. Nova-I am ok calling him in but his goal tally isn't really impressive either. Indiana Vasilez-he isn't really a true striker. Soto? He is back in MLS, I believe. So you tell who are the clear cut options in Europe?

And look at MLS are options aren't much better. Ferriera-I would like to see. Eboisse-not interested at all. Ricardo Pepi, wait and see approach. Dom Dwyer-pass.

I personally would either see Morris or Weah at the striker position until another player steps up. I actually think prior to be injured Weah was better than Sargent. Morris, I actually feel more comfortable out of all the current options.

Don't gift players MLS or European players spots make them earn it.

I don't believe any call up should be gifted to any player, but I was specifically talking about BJELKS lineup. I no longer follow MLS closely, but I am somewhat aware of the MLS players in the USMNT player pool and none of them are world beaters or even close. Other than Richards, and MAYBE Sargent, I do not believe there are any MLS options that are better or even equal to those guys.

I would like to Sargent develop more before saying he is the answer at striker. And Richards, next season we should be able to say a lot more about him. If he goes to Bayern first team and plays significant minutes that will be something that works in our favour. When he goes up against the Bundesliga's best and learns from those experiences, then he will certainly be a welcome addition. Brooks has earned it, Richards is in the process of earning it. And generally, CB's develop at a slower rate than attackers.

Your boy had a brace in the Segunda playoffs. I'd keep an eye on him.

He still needs to make a step up. Looking at him, he looks fine but also you notice the age of the teams playing. Just seeming to be young guys.

He's playing in a playoff to "step up" to Segunda A.

I don't think age has anything to do with the quality of your play. Fati is 17 and worth more 40mil.
That's more than the entire Sounders team.
Barca B is also worth more than the Sounders which are young lol.

If you look at transfermarket, Jordan Morris is valued at 2.9 million and they have Konrad at 450000. So one Jordan Morris is worth six Konrad. Hopefully, Konrad passes him but let him have more of a handful of starts.
