It's true about McKennie being our 6. Because he doesn't do enough for us as an 8.

A lineup I'd love to see in September:

-------Sietbachu
Amon---Pulisic-Parks--Lleget
--------McKennie
Robinson--Miazga-Brooks--Moore/Yed
--------Steffan

navi8132 - Do not expect new names/faces to be called up come September. We'll have a New coach and they're going to what to know what players they have to compete right now, and what players are going to be projects.

Therefore I expect to see a number of the 2018 Veterans to be called in for the September games (Guzan, Bradley, Cameron, Jozy)....and No-one who hasn't already represented the USMNT in the last 12 months (No Amon, Sietbachu, Hyndman, Tillman, Wright, etc...).

If qualifying was any indication, Bradley, Jozy, and Guzan are useless competing moving forward. They're more washed than anything. If anything, it would be more logical to test younger high potential players.

You then assume a MLS coach to be hired. Mind you it is the safe assumption, but if we do hire someone outside the MLS, my guess would be he would be more familiar with the Euro player pool than the MLS pool.

I noticed a lot of former DC United teammates joined him in Philly...so it would appear enjoys the familiar. It would lead one to assume Berhalter to have an edge having played on the USMNT with Stewart...but so did Cherundolo and Thomas Dooley.

I do believe that the next coach will come from the MLS Ranks. I just don't have high hopes that the USSF will go with a foreign coach so soon after Klinsmann. I think there's still too much belief that our domestic league/coaches are sufficient to the requirements/desires of MLS/SUM.

I'd love to be proven wrong and see candidates like:
Guus Hiddink - Unattached
Roberto Martínez - Belgium (after WC)
Brendan Rodgers - Celtic

Than add an MLS coach (Vermes, Porter, Marsch) or a USNT Icon (Boca, Dolo) as a 1st assistant.

I just don't think that's going to be the outcome. I think the short list is going to be Vermes, Marsch, & Berhalter, with possibly TaTa Martino considered...just don't see it happening.

The final stretch of the English league season is upon us, with several Americans on the verge of relegation with their teams.
