Team would be a lot of better with the addition of Parks, Saief, Tillman....

All good we have a lot of time to bring in more players

In 4 years (the next WC) there will be new faces uncovered as well that we haven't seen...but given the situation and the age of those players I thought they did well. That served as a valuable learning experience.

I had flashbacks of Argentina-USA 2011 when Juan Agudelo got a lucky goal and we withstood an onsalught of pressure the whole game to end 1-1. I thought we were going to get slaughtered but I forgot how many times in the last few years we could absorb nonstop offense effectively

Green had a lucky goal. Our backline really did well. Will Trapp proved any doubters wrong about not being able to play against the world heavy weights.

I disagree with many people about McKennie and Adams in this game. Both were sloppy and lost the ball many times. Trapp performed far better.

I don't understand what the point is of putting Corona into that game (Parks could have served a purpose).

It was too brief to judge Sargent. Rubin might have fit into this game given his speed and energy against a fatiguing French side.

It was hard to judge Shaq Moore, there were numerous mistakes, but there was world class pressure. I am a little unsure how to rank Yedlin vs. Moore, but I choose Yedlin at the moment.

Parker is definitely climbing the CB depth chart. Won't be surprised to see him get some looks from European teams.

Overall I thought Adams was good. He had some mistakes, but you can tell this kid will be a dynamo in a few more years.

Mckennie had some bad moments, but it's been a long season for him and he played in every game during this friendly window.

Parker was outstanding. Only gripe is getting a bit cleaner with the ball

Miazga was very good. Not a lot to complain about

CCV bounced back and had a very good game too

Steffen is the #1

Moore was caught flat footed a couple of times, but he has tremendous speed and athleticism. Really impressed with his crossing.

Robinson is the starting LB from here on out. Hopefully he can now stay healthy.

Wood had a meh game. Foresee him becoming a back up too Sargent

Green had a ton of good off the ball movement and some very clever touches. Great finish. Needs to get more involved. I hope he gets his club situation sorted. Sounds like Stuttgart don't want him back this year.

Trapp battled well had some good passes. Was caught in possession a couple of times, but I like what I saw from him.

Corona meh

Sargent was to isolated

Villafana is now the backup

Yedlin needs to be a leader in this group. He still gets the nod, but if Moore breaks into that Levante team as the starter then Yedlin will have competition.

Jordan Siebetchu has to be crazy if he thinks he will break into this France team any time in the next 8 years. Time to join the USMNT brother. Sarachan confirmed there has been conversations with Jordan.

While it wasn't pretty, I liked the way that our young players worked to grind a result. This game actually reminded me of the Confederation Cup game against Spain....structured defense and taking advantage of the opponents 1 mistake.
Major props to the young guys for showing a bit of grit, and grinding out the game.

The one disappointment for me was the coach's unwillingness to continue the youth substitutions. I would have preferred if he'd brought Sargent on sooner....and used Parks over Corona.

Still not sold on Trapp, but he did better today than he did against Ireland. I truly believe that when we have everyone that Trapp is at best a bench/depth option. Adams & McKennie are better CDMs, so when Pulisic is in the squad and Parks, Scott, Hyndman, etc...are a little more experienced I don't see the value of Trapp.

Thanks @Dave. With all CMs available Trapp has no value. There's a reason he's 25 in MLS. Mckennie, DWill, Adams, Parks, Morales are easily classes above Trapp.
The Green goal was pure quality. Wondolowski or Morris couldn't do that on their best day, the difference between MLS scoring leaders and a Bundesliga 2 player.
Adams and Morris were our 2 best players on the field and the 5 backs was there to make sure Trapp didn't embarrass us.
Sarachan, what a clown.

I wouldn't necessarily say Yedlin fell off, because he's never been as technical, comfortable on the ball, or as good going forward as Moore looks and Moore is just as athletic.

Positive result, nothing too negative on the pitch. Unfortunately more was learned about France on the pitch than us.

I don't fault Sarachan for his subs this time. Yes these are friendlies and yes this is the time to learn about players. However, rewarding the effort by allowing players to finish can be a positive as well and help boost confidence.

Nothing too negative. When he sees the pass he can make it, but for me Trapp takes a little too long at this level to recognize it. Ball control could be better as well...a few times Miazga made a long pass that split defenders only for the receiver to lose it because of a poor first touch.

Positives...they stood up and competed very well. Green as a withdrawn forward has potential. There was more teamwork as well.

I can't wait for the next round of friendlies. By then we should have a new manager (please not Berhalter...he's a good coach but that may mean more Trapp). More players that were in academies/reserve teams should be out on loan and playing (Scott and EH come to mind) so the pool will be deeper.

This is my one real concern with Burhalter potentially being named the next head coach of the USMNT. I get a little worried with some coaches having a preconceived notion/loyalty to players.
Burhalter = Trapp & Zardes, Ta-Ta = Nagbe & Garza, etc.....

Nagbe should be back in the USMNT set up. He provides better passing and possession skills than either Mckennie or Adams.
