I agree we will get beat bad, but how and who we play will determine my level of agitation.

If we field an attack based young squad and lose 6-0 who cares, it will give us a real look at who has a shot to hang at this level, either now or in 2 yrs when it counts-remember we are building for qualifying-I don't care about this friendly.

NOW if we play Trapp, Villafana, Hamid, Corona, Wood-and lose 6 nil Ill be pissed.

I would like to see
Sergeant -Noka
Green - Parks - Yedlin
Mckinnie
Robinson-EPB--MM--Moore
Steffan

You could have Green move to either forward or CAM and try someone else wide left

Lets try new aggressive things against good teams to see how we can build our team

I agree with you on principle, that we need to see/test the younger generation. What I'm hoping we'll see:
---------------Sargent--------------
--Saief---------Parks/Green-------Weah---
-------McKennie-------Adams----------
-Robinson----MM/EPB------CCV/MM----Yedlin-
--------------Steffan----------------

Subs @ half-time: Green for Saief/Parks (if Parks starts @ CM), Moore for Yedlin, EPB/CCV for either MM or CCV.
Subs @ 60 Min: Noka for Sargent,
Subs: Villafana if Robinson needs replacement. Trapp for McKennie/Adams if needed.

What I think we'll end up seeing:
----------------Wood-----------------
-Saief-----McKennie------Adams-----Weah---
----------------Trapp-----------------
-Villafana----Miazga---------CCV------Yedlin--
---------------Steffan-----------------

Subs after 60 min: Noka, Green, Parks,
Subs after 80 min: Robinson, Moore

My hope is that the next USMNT manager goes to 3-5-2. The US is better in. Two forward set up.

Saief has left camp (injury). No replacement per US Soccer.

Will not be surprised to see a defensive line up from
Sarachan in this game.

Considering we won't have much of the ball, any lineup we send out will end up being defensive!

But curious how defensive you wanted to be?

For me, let's try some new things...

Steffen
Yedlin Miazga, CCV, Robinson
Adams, EPB, Parks, McKennie
Weah,
Sargent

What do people think the scoreline will be?:

0) An upset victory
1) 0-0 or 0-1
2) 0-2 or 0-3
3) 0-4 or 0-5
4) 0-6 or worse.

1-4 like when Germany blew us out in 2006, but Cherundolo scored a lucky goal on a long pass that bounced over Kahn's head.

Thoughts on a few players:

Bob Wood - needs his move and a good game against the French ought to do just that.

Adams - also needs his move and this game is a showcase for him.

Robinson - clearly offers something Villafaña does not. Must play and will get a trial by fire. With a decent game, either Everton or somebody decent will loan him.

Steffen - will in all likelihood see the most action and has the chance to really boost his stock the most with a good performance.

What I'd like to see (4-1-4-1):

--- Wood ---
Weah Adams Corona Rubin
---- McKennie -----
Robinson Parker Miazga Yedlin
---- Steffen ------

I'd bring on Sargent, Parks, and CCV.

this is similar to what I would like to see. Wouldn't mind this lineup at all.

If Moore and thats a big if, he can develop -I would love to see yedlin in the mid to see how he would look, one issue we have is our current players are not true wide players, they all tend to cut inside-I would be curious how yedlin would look out wide and if he could help stretch the field and then we could try weah inside more.

I also think we need to see 2 forwards-from your lineup I would drop adams and bring on another forward to pair with sergeant

l think most everyone agrees on a backline for now of
Robinson, EPB (or CCV) MM -Moore

looking forward to the game and sure hope we don't come out in a defensive shell

This is laughable.

1) Do they actually expect Green to stay up that high? I guarentee that after 120 seconds into the first half, Green will drop back to midfield. Hell even Wood will!

2) This is going to be like half court basketball, France will shoot on Steffan and then they get the ball to Adams, then he is stripped and France starts the attack again over and over.

3) I hope we all judge Tyler Adams after this. I expect every one to do poorly, but I think Adams will really struggle and finally start to get some criticism from fans. I don't WANT that to happen of course, I am just predicting.

4) Keaton Parks must have slept with Sarachan's daughter or something. He's NOT injured and not even put in the 18.

The final stretch of the English league season is upon us, with several Americans on the verge of relegation with their teams.
