Lletget isn't a dmid. D Wil, Morales, Parks, Adams are.
Saief is capable of play making, so can Hyndman, Green, Kyle Scott.

I don't understand how we could get a roster without a SINGLE natural winger. Could someone explain how we couldn't bring even ONE??

The same reason we're not in the World Cup

Right now Parks is not a DMid, he's a Box-to-Box mid. Benfica believe he can become a CDM, and are therefore trying to train him to be able to play the role. But he's not there yet.

Right now our CDM candidates are: McKennie, Adams, Morales, Trapp, D. Williams (when he's beack from injury), Roldan, Canouse/Durkin, & Bradley (as much as I don't want him considered he will still be a part of the team through next year).

As for play makers (ACM) we've got Pulisic, Saief, Park, Green, Hyndman, Scott, & Lletget.

There are options at both positions for the NEW manager to evaluate and determine who fits their formation and strategy.

I took a look at France's potential starting 11. It's enough to beat us 6-0.

I look at their reserves and think the same as well!

Who is supposed to guard Dembele......will Villafana close him down? Will Yedlin close down Griezman? Will CCV close down Mbappe? Who will get past Kante in midfield, young Tyler Adams? Who will deal with Pogba? (assuming lineup)

ok thank you guys for the clarification. Also i agree with the assertion on Trapp, i do not believe he is at the same level as the rest of the players. I would rather have seen a call up of Lletget over Trapp (they are the same age).

When it comes to playmaker, im thinking De la Torre or Parks with this call up but in the future, i believe our playmaker is gonna be Andrew Carleton.

I agree on Trapp...and selecting him captain compounds the problem. If all the players out there know he is not up to it is there really any leadership on the pitch?

We will see on Carleton. He is an intriguing player but there are others we have not seen who can do similar things. If he can get a loan and quality minutes Kyle Scott certainly can do as well.

I agree we will get beat bad, but how and who we play will determine my level of agitation.

If we field an attack based young squad and lose 6-0 who cares, it will give us a real look at who has a shot to hang at this level, either now or in 2 yrs when it counts-remember we are building for qualifying-I don't care about this friendly.

NOW if we play Trapp, Villafana, Hamid, Corona, Wood-and lose 6 nil Ill be pissed.

Bolivia gave the avg US fan false hope. Games like Ireland/France will tell us what we need to know, whom from this squad needs more looks and where we need to call in dif players.

Here are a few takes from the Ireland Game:

Lets try Yedlin in Mid-he was off maybe pissed not getting the arm band

Moore-for me he didn't look as good as Robinson did but again that is what these matches help us learn. Give moore 90, give Yedlin 45 in mid

Lets give EPB 90, MM played fine and blew it at the end he looked gased

CCV-I was more concerned with his passing than his defense-sure people weren't checking back for the ball but he resorted to kick ball most of the time

Del Torey-try him centrally

Trapp-dont need him unless we have injuries or suspensions

Corona -no thanks

Vilfanna no need to see him -he is part of the old guard pass the ball backwards at all cost

Robinson give him 90

Parks 90--at CAM

I would like to see

Sergeant -Noka

Green - Parks - Yedlin

Mckinnie

Robinson-EPB---MM---Moore

Steffan

You could have Green move to either forward or CAM and try someone else wide left

Lets try new aggressive things against good teams to see how we can build our team

When you think that France couldn't find room in its 23 for guys like Martial, Lacazette, Sissoko, and we're debating kids who are on the fringes of senior teams, it is kind of scary.

Yep...US team is pretty much in down swing...
We are level 3, probably Level 4 of the World teams.

I was thinking about random 2011 soccer, like this Teal Bunbury goal against Chile.
