Started tonight for Malaga vs. Real Sociedad. Going the full 90, but he's having a terrible night. Might be a long time before we see him start again. Responsible for the second goal and made horrible decisions passing out of the back on multiple occasions. Down 2-1 and looks as if it will finish that way (under 5 to go). Bummer.

Honestly Malaga must have some of the worst scouts in the world.

Gooch days are pretty much done with the Nats. He was never fast, and could never pass that well. He has been poop since picking up the second knee injury last year. But will forever be grateful to him for his great defense for many years with the Nats.
But he would be a good pickup for any MLS team that needs a decent CB i.e. NY.

It was a cup match. They are pretty much equal to friendlies for a team like Malaga

Agree. By bye Gooch. Thanks for your service. See you in MLS for the couple years of your swan song.
Another sad sign of the twilight years of our Golden Generation.

Malaga have signed Diego Lugano on loan from PSG through the end of the season, which should push Gooch even further down the depth chart. Could a move to MLS be imminent?

Most likely..im sure one other european team might get him hoping to get the old gooch, if he cant even take the starting spot away from 33yr old wellington whats the point. A move back to the states would prob do some good.
