Zyen of Atlanta United FC has signed a contract with Schalke. He is 17 years old and a US youth international. Schalke is stock piling young American players. McKennie, Taitigue, Wright, Jones.

Don't know much about this kids ability, but hey another young American in the Bundesliga.

Position: FWD

Nice post! These are the type of players I want to see more of. Cool that he's also a winger, now just hope we start producing more creative/attacking midfielders.

The current Schalke manager seems to be taking a page out of Fulham's old playbook.
US players are fairly inexpensive, and if they can be developed into contributors/starters they make good financial sense.
If signed to a development contract (youth) and don't work out they haven't invested all that much. If they do work out (McKennie/Pulisic) than there could be a nice pay-off.

The final stretch of the English league season is upon us, with several Americans on the verge of relegation with their teams.
